The morning of graduation I decided to post Skailer's video because she deserved this one last thing before the world said goodbye to her for good.
Funny thing is I don't remember most my graduation, just the look of my mom's face when I received my diploma, the weird handshake Caleb, Alec and Jackson gave each other after they announced that they'd be going to UCLA and the frown on Ian's face when they wouldn't let him in with the handshake despite the fact that he was still going to UCLA.
I'd decided to go to NYU and yes now that Skai was gone, it meant I was doing it alone but I was living out both our dream of going to NYU. The boys promised to come visit and so did my mom but something tells me she'd be a little preoccupied with her new romance.
Not that she would admit it but all of us were pretty sure that her and Nate had a thing for each other, which none of us minded since he was such an amazing person but she claimed that it wasn't the time to think about that.
"Hey, what you doing out here?" questioned Alec, climbing onto the hood of Jackson's car and staring at the stars with me
"I needed some air" I stated, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear, "It's been a year to remember"
"Agreed, one of the most emotional years I have ever lived through" he stated as I placed my head on his chest
"Feel like I'm going to spend all summer locked in my bedroom, watching Netflix Kdramas and mourning" I mumbled as Alec let out a chuckle causing his chest to rumble
"Mind if I join you?" he questioned
"Sadness likes company" I stated
"What you two doing?" questioned Jackson's voice as I sat up, Alec following in suite
"Staring at the stars and talking about our summer vacation" I said as he leaned against the tree in front of the car
"Planning on Watching Netflix and crying" he said as I raised my eyebrow at him, wondering how he could possibly know that, "Yeah, I heard you idiots"
"Well you're invited to our grief session" I said as Alec crossed his legs
"I think I've done enough grieving so I think I'm just going to choose a little numbness" stated Caleb, Ian following behind him, "Thank you for leaving me to pay the check"
"Consider it a graduation present from you to us" I smirked as he rolled his eyes, "And no one's allowing your summer of numbness, we're in this shit together, Caleb"
"I feel like I need a break from you idiots" stated Caleb, running his hand through his curls
"Sadly, we're going to the same school so you're stuck" stated Jackson as everyone smiled, before falling silent and staring up at the stars as I leaned on Ale
