{ A/N: Yes, another one of these.. I juat wanted to point out thatthis chapter is too short for words but I felt like this little scene had to be separated from the rest to create a small bit of chemistry between Tadase and Haruka. But trust me, this won't be the last. }

------------------

The ‘escorting’ the King’s Chair was referring to wasn’t all that I had imagined, he didn’t seem to be in a hurry at all. He just strolled along the halls with his guardian, whispering about things. While I silently followed behind.

Several times I had tried to initiate a conversation with the blonde, but I could never bring myself to utter a single word without flashes of the riot I had started before.

How could I even show my stupid face hole to him again?

The scenery around us slowly started to evolve into a familiar setting into the gym locker rooms. I was losing my chance, I needed to quickly say something or else I would lose credit with the Guardian.

My face heated up and my thin lips curled in, my shyness was slowly devouring my dignity the longer I walked in silence.

“Nee, Hotori-kun!” I blurted out randomly, enough to make him pause and turn around to face me with a confused expression.

I scurried to catch up with him. “I didn’t say this before in fear of disappointing you but- I know who or what you are, King’s Chair.”

He raised his slim eyebrows in surprise, but then lowered them in relief as her were expecting this from me or something.

Pointing a protruding finger at him and then switched it to point at his chara which didn’t seem too happy about that, the chara gave me a look of impatience.

“Superhero!”

Their looks deflated once I confessed, as if I were getting something totally and completely wrong.

“I’m wrong?” I asked tilting my head in disappointment. I’m pretty sure what occurred moments ago was something from out of a comic or a manga.

 “Well-“

“‘Cause you had a cape and the other guy had cat ears and Amu had wings and

I have sunshine-“ I was silenced with a warm hand at my shoulder, it was Hotori-kun’s and he seemed to laugh softly, his chara’s face not as hard as it was before. My cheeks lit red at his melodious laugh and his genuine smile. That had to be his charm point.

“Close, Haruka..” His soft voice replied, removing his hand from my shoulder. Itas then that I realized that we had stopped walking.

“Let me put it simply for now..”

 My lashes fluttered.

 “I’m a Guardian.”

The moment he said that it seems as if the sun shone on him as if he were a god of some sort.  My lips parted and shaped into a wide ‘O’ and my blue eyes widened in astonishment.

“I-I.. I knew that. “ I stated in a bored tone. “You make it sound awfully boring, though.”

Hotori-kun brought his hand up to his head, the expression on his face clearly showing that this wasn’t the reaction he was used having.

“But-..” I strolled up beside him. “I’ve always wanted to be a Guardian- or rather a superhero. To be exceptionally smart and to exceed all goals with flying colors.” My face glittered dreamily with an expression that showed that I was dreaming a million light years away from where I was.

My eyes lowered to the ground. “Because.. Because I wan’t to be noticed, I don’t want to  disappear into the crowd again. I want to feel worth something and others who feel the same welcomed as well!”

“Just to shine brilliantly, right?” I looked over at Hotori-san. He had a sympathetic look on his face. “I.. I know how you feel.”

We let a few moments of silence sink in, staring in to each others eyes wistfully. Speaking to each other simply through looks, that is until his chara kicked in.

“I think this is enough.” He proclaimed, loud as his tiny voice could go to snap the two of us out of whatever trance we were in.  “Homeroom is getting close and the Guardian’s post election meeting will no occur without both the King and Queen’s Chair present.”  The chara stated as if he were reading his procedure off of a piece of paper.

Hotori-kun seemingly consoled himself, regaining his kingly composure.

“Ah, yes, Kiseki.” The two of us then continued stroll to stroll down to the doors of the locker rooms, stopping at the white door labeled ‘GIRLS’ in pink.

King’s Chair stretched out a hand towards the girls locker room and explained where I could find the extra uniform and what to tell the P.E. teacher when I entered if she were to enter.

I nodded, opening the door to enter when a voice caught my attention.

“Oh- and Haruka.” I turned my head to look back over at Hotori-kun. “I hope we can converse more together from now on.” He said, a light tint of red falling over his cheeks. “Goodbye.”

I waved him goodbye as well, seeing that he was now walking away, I softly closed the door.
