The friendship that she had vowed to grow old with, had torn apart at the seems..

-- Someplace, sometime, years passed --

The setting sun had shadowed the world in a bright orange light, gazing upon all the inhabitants of Earth and saying it's final goodbye to all that were getting ready to end the day.

However, there was one place specifically that wasn't taken over by fatigue. That was the neighborhood's kindergarten daycare. Where the bubbling children bustled and giggled all day and go into a deep sleep at night.

In the playground, the kids were playing something of the lines of 'Kings and Queens' in sandboxes. At the center of this construction sat a little blonde haired girl, with bunny ears placed upon her head.

"Come awn guysh!" The little girl prodded. "All the boys work on either sides of the castle and we'll work on the pretty center!" She commanded softly, to which all the kids agreed with. 'We' referring to her female friends.

And off all of the kindergarten students went to go collect rock, sticks, sand, and water to shape a beautiful castle. Probably one to show off to their teachers or something along the lines.

Well, all of the kindergarteners except for one boy.

A short little blonde boy stood off to the side, being ignored from the crowd of people. He hung his head shyly and twiddled his fingers, tense.

Every once and again he'd inch closer to the group of children, having the hidden desire to join in with them in making a castle. Then, taking in a breath, he reached his tiny hand out of touch the little blonde girl who seemed to be in charge of the group project.

Once his tiny fingers touched the girls shoulder he saw her jump and the touch and flipped her head around.

"H-Hi.." The boy's quiet voice muttered, his face beet red and his head hung low.  "C-can I-"

Before he could finish, a group upset-looking boys came up behind him, the leader coming up into the center of the three. This caught the attention of everyone who was stealthily working. The little blonde boy clearly shrunk under their hard gazes.

"Hey! Go away!" The middle one yelled and his background boys back him up with a 'yeah'.

Another boy from behind him spoke up. "You never speak, you're such a weirdo!" He teased.

"Weirdo~, weirdo~!" The leader began to sing in a playful voice and soon the rest of the boys joined in with the song, along with some girls and boys from other different groups.

The blonde boy clenched his fists, his head looking firmly at the ground, the little boy looked like he was on the brink of crying. Well, he was right until-

"Stop!" A soft voice cried out and cut through the crowd, from the crowd emerged the little blonde girl- the one who was 'playing boss'.

"You guys are mean! I'm not playing with you guys anymore!" She yelled as loud as she could in anger and stomped straight out of the sandbox and beside the blonde boy. Whose tear stained cheeks reddened at her sudden action.
