I looked up at Soleia, a determined look in my eyes. “Y-Yes!” I stuttered. Although, I didn’t know of what was to come in the future, I want to get better.

 “Alright!” She exclaimed.

I closed my eyes tight, raising my shoulders and hands, becoming stiff as I awaited to what was going to take place next.

I felt a minuscule finger touch my forehead. At this, I became even more tense, was there magic going through my body?  I couldn’t tell.

“Err, Haruka..” I heard Soleia’s voice from afar, her tone wavering.

“Did anything happen yet? Is there something wrong?”

A few moments of silence passed before Soleia spoke up. “Only that you’ve been doing a strange pose for the past few minutes!” She joked. I opened my eyes to find her in the same place she was when I first closed them.

“Did you work your magic already?” I chirped, jumping up and down excitedly.

“Already? No..” She said, dragging the ‘no’.

My smile dropped. “Weren’t you going to ‘change me’?” I said, my voice slightly cracking in disappointment.

Soleia broke out into a laugh. “No, not like that~!” She sang. “Only you can change yourself, I’m just here to give you the extra push!”

 My face contorted into a frown. “But-but, I can’t!” I cried out.

The chara floated over to me and pressed both of her palms against my forehead. “Of course you can, I heard you outside.”

 “Outside?”

‘You said you wanted to feel worth something and want to persuade others to feel the same as well.” Soleia spoke softly, like a mother would.

“You can do it only if you believe!” As Soleia floated back to where she once was, she stretched out her arms, and out of them came firelights that glowed and danced around my face.

 Believe? In the impossible?

“Yes!” I yelled pushing my head towards my Guardian Chara and causing the the flecks of floating firelight to be pressed against my cheeks and tickle them. Soleia’s tiny cheeks warmed and her lips pulled back into a genuine smile.

“Alright, now let’s get to grooming shall we?!” She chirped, evidently pumped. I was confused about what she meant but my confusion soon faded when she turned around to face the carefully folded ragged, dirty old uniform. I lifted a finger to poke it for a split second. The white button-up had clearly not been pure white for ages.

“It’s hideous! Don’t you want me to edit it?” Soleia questioned. floating closer towards the uniform at the bottom of the cabinet.

“Edit it..” I mumbled under my breath. “Sure..”

I reluctantly took the folded uniform with both of my hands and walked over to the open mirrors with blow-dryers and other girly belongings left out for the females of Seiyo.

As soon as I got to the sink, I set the uniform down and leaped away from where it was. I didn’t want to be anywhere near the gross uniform, but Soleia said she would fix it.

Soleia floated over closely to the rags that once were uniforms, pressing her hands on them and switching her gaze to me.

Slowly, an orange power emitted from her hands and surged throughher tiny hands. My eyes went wide as the clothes began to defy gravity and float into the air, unraveling itself.

Soleia still kept it beneath her control, her hands still controlling it with her ‘fire’ powers’. Suddenly, she reeled her hands back, the uniform staying in place then,  with a sharp jolt, pushed it towards the floating uniform. Sending wave of power to the uniform.

With a ‘ting’, the uniform magically exploded into thin air leaving only burnt pieces of fabric scattered across the ground and on me. This sent Soleia flying back into the mirror.

“That was supposed to be fixing it?” I snapped after a brief silence that consisted of staring at the huge mess and worrying about what was going to take place next.

Soleia floated back up into the air, wiping the pieces of cinder off of her magnificent dress. “I-I tried..” She pouted as she did this.

I bit the side of my chapped lips, unsure of what to do other than leave the mess there. Glancing, up at the clock, it was then I realized that  I only had but 2 minutes before the election meeting.

Yet- there I stood, covered in flecks of burnt cloth, rubble, and dirt. My carefully crocheted braids now out of place and rough.

I got down on my knee and began to scrape all of the black pieces into a pile just like a broom would do.

“You know, I’m sure I can help with that!” The golden chara tried to offer and floated over to where my head was.

I chose to continue to sweep with my hands on all fours, across the floor- it was when the bell rang signaled the last day before the new semester that I took action and sped up.

“H-Hurry up, Haruka, I can hear the steps of the P.E. teacher near!” Soleia warned before flying back into her sun faberge egg.

I had managed to kick the pile of crisp cloth under the sink before racing out of the back entrance.

Once I slammed the door, I bent over and huffed as I attempted to catch my breath. The atmosphere had made it hard to breathe. Like most things that had took place today.

I just wanted this day to end already..
