ଯେବେ ସୁଜନେ ହରିସ୍ମରଣରେ। ସରସମନ କରିଛ ନିର୍ଭରେ।
ଯେବେ ସକଳ ବିଳାସକଳାରେ। କୁତୂହଳ ମନ ହୋଇ ସେ ପାରେ।
ମଧୁର କୋମଳପଦେ ରଚିତ। ଶ୍ରବଣ କର ଜୟଦେବ ଗୀତ

English Transliteration:

Jebe sujane Hari smaranare
Sarasa mana karicha nirbhare
Jebe sakala bilalasa kalamare
Kutuhala mana hoi se pare
Madhura komala pade rachita
Sravana kara Jayadeva gita

Literal Meaning:

If you wish to make your mind ecstatial by remembering Hari, if you are curious to know the art of sensual dalliance, then listen to the sweet soft and soothing lyrics of Jayadeva's literary creation, the Gita Govinda.

Tamil Verse

உள்ளத்தால் வல்லவன் வானளாவி நின்றானெனில்
நெஞ்சுற தென்பென்னை வல்லுற வழிந்தோடும்
கைநிறைந்து கண்ணீர் கரையில் ஒருவன் களைப்புற்றால்
நிலமென்ன மானுடா இந்த ஜகமே களையாகும்.

English Transliteration:

Ullaththal vallavan vaanalaavi nindranenil
Nenjura thenpennai vallura vazhindhodum
Kainiraindhu kanner karaiyil oruvan kalaipputtraal
Nilamenna manuda indha jagame kalaiyaagum

Meaning:

If the one who is soft and strong by heart is well acknowledged in a place, the niche will receive abundant wealth from the gods. But if the one who has materialistic wealth yet feeds his greed from tears of others is residing in a place, then the whole world will itself is a horrendous weed when it is influenced by his actions.

गणाधीश जो ईश सर्वां गुणांचा |
मुळारंभ आरंभ तो निर्गुणाचा |
नमूं शारदा मूळ चत्वार वाचा |
गमू पंथ आनंत या राघवाचा |

English Transliteration:

Gaṇādhīśa jo īśa sar̥vā guṇāṅcā |
Muḷārambha ārambha to nir̥guṇācā |
Namū śāradā mūḷa catvāra vāca |
Gamū paṅtha ānaṅta yā Rāghavācā |

Meaning:

Let us start with praying Ganesha - who is the God of all virtues and who is the origin of the Brahman (God) in its unmanifested form - the divine energy that is the universe and the highest consciousness; and the Goddess of speech, Sharada.Let us explore the way to reach Lord Rama, who is considered as infinite.

ಎಡವದೆಯೆ ಮೈಗಾಯವಡೆಯದೆಯೆ ಮಗುವಾರು ।
ನಡೆಯ ಕಲಿತವನು ಮತಿನೀತಿಗತಿಯಂತು ।।
ತಡವರಿಸಿ ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತೆದ್ದು ಮೈ- ।
ದಡವಿಕೊಳುವವರೆಲ್ಲ ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ।।

English Transliteration:

Eḍavadeye maigāyavaḍeyadeye maguvāru।
naḍeya kalitavanu matinītigatiyantu।।
taḍavarisi muggarisi biddu matteddu mai- ।
daḍavikoḷuvavarella maṅkutim'ma।।

English Meaning:

Which child learns to walk without falling down?
This is how the mind learns wisdom too.
To slip, to fall, and to shake oneself and get up:
Isn't this what everyone does? --Mankuthimma
