Hindi is the language derived from the Devanagari script, based on the ancient Brahmi script of the subcontinent. It has a group of alphabets named Swara that are vowels, and Vyanjan, that is consonants. Together, there are a total of 52 alphabets in the script, 11 vowels and 41 consonants.

ए - pronounced as 'A' as in Ache
ऐ - pronounced as 'A' as in Amber
ओ - pronounced as 'O' in Om
