"Beloved,-"
A rainy day cascaded the sky as the droplets fell to the ground whilst the sky was coated in gray with soft thunder in the distance. The grass below was wet as a group of people stood in front of a casket that was being lowered slowly while a priest spoke the departing words of rememberance.
"-we gather here today to remember a man who lived a long and happy life. One full of adventure, sorrow and love. One that will never be forgotten so long as a sun sets and a moon rises, or vise versa."
Panning outwards, it was then shown to be a news coverage that read "Famous Comedian Funeral Service after telling gunman 'What are you gonna do? Shoot me?'"
"Shame...I actually liked his punchlines..."
The old TV would then turn off give way to a reflection of Ayame and (Y/N) standing in front of old man Ubuyashiki who was now awake and well with the controller in hand.
"Oh my goodness...That was too close..."
"I thought I killed the man!"
(Y/N) cried out in a mix of guilt as he felt as though it was his fault Ubuyashiki had passed out. A fright that made everyone panic for a solid fifteen seconds before he awoke asking for tea.
"It's going to have to take more than a ghost to kill me..."
"I know but still!"
Chuckling softly, Ubuyashiki would turn softly to Ayame and smile.
"Ojou, dear, go help Maiko. That tea set gets heavier with each passing year."
"A-Alright. But it shouldn't be long!"
Dashing out, (Y/N) watched her ss Ubuyashiki giggled softly. Grabbing (Y/N)'s uniform's sleeve, he would give it soft tug as the boy jumped a bit.
"Y-Yes? Do you need something...? I can go get the tea way faster! Long legs, yknow?"
"No. No. Ease down...It's just...how have you remained so young?"
"Young...? Well...It was my birthday before I was stationed here."
Tilting his head softly, Ubuyashiki would gesture over to a wooden chair behind (Y/N). One that the young boy soon brought over and sat in after removing his nichirin blade from behind. You see, Ayame basically just slid it down his pants and hand half of it running up his back. Which is why he was standing. Ubuyashiki chuckled softly after pondering for a bit.
"Ah. Yes. The beauty of reincarnation. Sorry, I had you confused for someone else-"
"Why does everyone keep saying that...? Ayame was the first to tell me that and stick to it. And now you?"
Seeing the boy's frown, it wad obvious even he himself was conflicted about something. Ubuyashiki would then smile and grab his hand very lightly due to his lack of strength.
"Because, my boy, to us? You are a ghost from the past...I assume Ayame has not truly told you much about this 'someone else?'"
"N-No...Just that I look and sound like him...minus a bit of my personality. Oh! And this uniform. It fits me perfectly. Scarily perfect..."
This actually made Ubuyashiki laugh softly as (Y/N) tilted his head at the old man. Making him question why his personal demons, both metaphorically and literally, was a funny subject to Ubuyashiki.
"You truly are just like him...You see, some hundred years ago, when I was a child...a foreigner joined my father's organization to avenge his squad that was wiped out. He quickly climbed in power and skill but, he also gained the trust of the other slayers. However, one night, it all changed...My father sacrificed himself so we could engage one final battle and in that battle? That foreigner parished...You resemble him the most..."
