The morning after the little party at the house, (Y/N) had awoken early so that way he could get a nice little work out in. Heading to the front yard, since the backyard needed to be cleaned, he had his Demon Slayer Corps Uniform on along with his haori. Yet, he wanted to try something out. Something he sees whenever he enters the Rengoku Family Shrine.
Slipping his haori's arms out, he made sure the fabric was drapped over his shoulders. Acting much like a cloak as he looked at himself a bit more. Seeing the green haori with those flaming tips made his mind go to another place. This place was in his own perspective looking at who he recognized as Kyoujuro of the Taisho Era. Who wore a large smile as he looked at the boy in front of him.
"It suits you well!"
Being ripped from his mind, he would see Yaketsuku standing in front of him with his usual attire, albeit more clean than last night. Smiling largely as (Y/N) chuckled softly before slidinghis arms through the sleeves.
"It's good and all but I think I like it this way better. More comfortable."
"To each their own. So, the time has come for you to return to a mission. This time, I will be needing your accompany alongside Ojou."
(Y/N) was surprised to say the least that Yaketsuku was asking him and Ayame to join his next mission. An official one, nontheless. Still, (Y/N) was quite giddy about having his big brother ask him for the next mission. Adjusting his haori and his blade's scabbard, he put up a grin.
"Well, then, let's get to it."
"What's the rush, my boy? That isn't until later in the night! Until then, I shall proceed to tell you of the mission. I already debriefed Ojou."
(Y/N) blinked before his face turned into a sheepish grin as he even chuckled. The next hours consisted of Yaketsuku giving (Y/N) every single detailed of where they were going. An area that used to be a railway an hour away from the home was now abandoned and was used by a local group for raves alongside parties. This time in particular, workers setting up the stages, stands and other areas were disappearing with the total reaching a total of twelve. Normally the company would have cancelled but, the DJ of the group had convinced them to push on.
Yaketsuku even continued defbriefing the young foreigner Rengoku when lunch had come around and Tojuro whipped them both up a nice lunch. Of course this was with yams mixed in between salmon fillets and rice with some chili. And that meant every sentence ended with a loud "umai" from both of them. At one point, even Tojuro let out a low one that caught them all of guard before laughing it on.
With debriefing done alongside numerous naps to steel their energy needed for tonight, the two eldest Rengokus would awaken to a sleepy Tojuro standing near the front gate. Swaying softly as he held a backpack. Of course, Yaketsuku alongside (Y/N) were wearing their usual clothes and uniform.
"And where do you think you're going?"
"I want to....come with you all..."
"Little Bud? You can barely stand. Stay here, we'll come back as soon as possible. Okay?"
"B-But I want to-!"
Hearing the two adults turn down his request to come with them, Tojuro's eyes shot wide open. Going to express his complaints of wanting to tag along yet, he was cut off when he felt the large hand of his father place itself on his head. Looking at Yaketsuku who was smiling softly and warmly at his son who would only blink.
"My little whisp of embers, I would love to tag you along but, this will be an adult setting. Not to mention, I do not want you to go with us. Remain here. Call Sumihiko and you two can stay up as long as you want! I'll even call his father to tell him I was the ome who recommended it."
