Luka: Hey, mom. *He hugged her and stepped inside. * What's all this?
Anarka: Nothing important. Just doing my taxes. 'And sending off wedding invitations to the family.'
Luka: Oh. If you're busy, I can come back later.
Anarka: Nope. I'm not too busy. Sit, sit. *Luka sits on the couch. * So, how's Marinette doing?

Anarka: I'm good. *Luka looked away for a second. * I know that look. What's wrong, son?
Luka: Nothing.
Anarka: Come on. I'm your mother, I deserve to know what's going on.
Luka: It's nothing personal.
Anarka: Are you sure?
Luka: Yeah.
Anarka: Okay. If something is troubling you, you can tell me.
Luka: Okay. *He rested his head on his mom's shoulder and he grinned too. In the bakery, Timmy, Mylene, and Juleka got the ingredients for the vanilla cake pops. *
Tom: Okay. Did we get everything for the cake pops?
Timmy: Yep.
Tom: We're doing vanilla first. So we just make the cake first. We need 1 cup of flour. *Juleka get the measuring cup and measure out 1 cup of flour and pour it into the bowl. * Second, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. *Mylene gets 1/2 teaspoon measures out the baking powder and puts it in the bowl. * Third, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
Timmy: I got it. *He got the 1/2 teaspoon from Mylene and measured out the baking soda and put it in the bowl. *
Tom: Good. Fourth, 1/8 teaspoon of salt. *Juleka get 1/8 teaspoon measure out the salt and put it in the bowl. * Fifth, 1/4 cup of butter. Is it room temperature? *Mylene checked the butter and it's warm and room temperature. *
Mylene: It is.
Tom: Okay. Measure it out with the measuring cup. *Mylene takes the knife, cuts the butter in half, measures it to 1/4, and puts it in the bowl. * Sixth, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. *Timmy got the measuring cup measured out 1/2 a cup and poured it into the bowl. * Seventh, 1 egg. *Juleka gets one egg, cracks it in a bowl, and throws the eggshell in the trash. * Eighth, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. *Mylene got the one teaspoon measure out of the vanilla extract and poured it into the bowl.* And ninth, 1/2 a cup of milk. *Timmy opened the top to the milk and poured 1/2 a cup of milk into the measuring cup and poured it in the cup. * Good. That's all the ingredients for the cake. Now let's mix them in the mixer. *He put the bowl on the mixer and turned it on to a low mix. * I'll watch the batter being mixed in, you get the ingredients for the frosting. Get the unsalted butter, make sure it's room temperature, icing sugar, whole milk, and vanilla extract.
Juleka: We got the milk and vanilla extract.
Tom: Okay. Now just get the unsalted butter and the icing sugar. *Mylene gets the unsalted butter and the icing sugar and places them on the table.* Okay, think it's all mixed in. I'll put the cake in the oven. *He got a round cake pan and sprayed it with non-stick pan spray and poured the cake batter into the pan, went to the oven, opened the door put the cake pan in the oven, and closed it. He grabbed the timer set it to 25 minutes and put the timer down.* Okay. The cake will be baked for 25 minutes. While we wait for the cake to bake, let's work on the frosting. Get the unsalted butter, and make sure it's measured out to 1/4 cup. *Juleka measures out 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, lends the measuring cup to Tom, puts it in the bowl, sets the mixer to 2, and lets it mix for 2 minutes. The two minutes were up and he turned the mixer off. * Okay, that's enough of the mixing. Next is 2/3 of the icing sugar.
Timmy: I got it. *He got the measuring cup, measured out 2/3 of icing sugar, and lent the cup to Tom and he poured it into the bowl. *
Tom: Thank you. Third, 1 teaspoon of whole milk. *Mylene measures out 1 teaspoon of milk and lends the cup to Tom, he pours the cup into the bowl. * And finally, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. *Timmy measures out the vanilla extract with the 1/2 teaspoon goes to the mixing bowl and lends it to Tom, he puts the milk in the bowl.* Now; we let them blend again. *He turns the dial to 2 again and the mixer starts to mix in the ingredients and make the frosting. *
Inside Marin's house, Mairnette and Sarah talked and had some tea too.

Marinette: Thanks for the tea.
Sarah: My pleasure.
Marin: Ready to go?
Sarah: Yeah. *She gets up and Marinette gets up too, they all leave the house, and head to the car, Marin locks up the house, and goes to the car too. *
Marinette: Wonder what's wrong with you, Sarah.
Sarah: That's what I wanna know.
Marin: I'm sure the doctor will find out what it is.
Sarah: (feeling her stomach) It might be a stomach virus or something.
Marin: We'll see. Doubt it though.
Sarah: And what do you suggest it would be?
Marin: Either a stomach bug or... probably you whiny pregnant.
Sarah: Pregnant? No way. Highly doubt it.
Marin: We'll just see what happens.
Sarah: So, how's it going with you and Luka?
Marinette: It's okay.
Sarah: Such a shame about your wedding. I'm sure it'll get better.
Marinette: I hope so. *Marin keeps driving to the hospital. *
