It was the next morning, and the day of the tournament.

Lautaro stood over Kanzashi's empty desk, his eyes narrowed.

Where could she have gone?

Over the PA system, Tatenashi was busy announcing the beginning of the tournament but Lautaro was too busy searching to pay any mind.

Meanwhile Kanzashi hid herself in a room, kneeling down and hugging her legs.

"You can't do anything at all, Kanzashi!"

"No.. no.. be quiet! I-I can do this!" She grabbed her head.

"Hmm..? Nooo, you should just remain my incompetent little sister..!"

"Kanzashi?!" Lautaro shouted as I patrolled the empty hallways.

To make matters worse, Kanzashi and Lautaro were the first ones up. They had to get to the hangar pronto.

And the suddenly...

[EMERGENCY ALERT!]

[EMERGENCY ALERT!]

[EMERGENCY ALERT!]

Multiple alerts appeared in front of Lautaro's face, who stopped in his tracks.

Oh give me a break.. THEM?!

In a command center, Yamada looked over the cameras which displayed multiple IS units in the air.

"Mrs. Orimura, we're under attack!" She shouted.

"What are those?"

The ISs displayed were advanced, swarming the top of the arena and attacking the representatives.

"They seemed to be unmanned.." Yamada informed her.

Chifuyu grit her teeth, "Damn it.. this is way too fast.. All combat capable pilots prepare to deploy!" She ordered.

"Right!"

In the arena, Rin flew around dodging projectiles from the IS units. She shot a bolt right back at them, but it barely left a scratch.

"Rin, watch out!" Cecilia called out, appearing with her sniper rifle and shooting at the IS which strafed and dodged, avoiding and shooting at her drones.

It aimed, a green light charging up from the palm of it's hand.

"What is happening..?" Kanzashi stood up, as she could hear explosions from the arena.

*Clang!*

However, she stumbled onto her bottom as one of them landed in front of her. She covered her mouth, stepping backward and against the wall but there was no where to run.

The large IS approached her, since it was unmanned there was no pilot. No emotions, only a hollow mask.

"W-Wait..!" Kanzashi pleaded.

The IS opened up it's hand, and began to charge up another beam.

"..!!" Kanzashi flinched, looking around scared.

"W-Wait.."

It charged..

"Wait..!"

Kanzashi shut her eyes, "W-Wait! L-Lautaro, please save me!" She pleaded.

*CLANG!*

And just as she called out, a certain black-winged IS smashed down in front of her.

*CLANG!*

The unmanned IS was met by the gauntleted fist of Vengadora, bits and pieces of hit's metal mask scraping off.
