When you awoke, it was to the feeling of soft hands caressing your hair, and the vibration of a chest under your head and the hum of a gentle song.
You knew exactly what had happened.
You weren't dumb or oblivious.
You chose to hum along with him, eyes half closed.
You looked up at him, the melodies escaping your lips harmonising perfectly. You peered at him through heavy lidded eyes, weighed down by slumber. His breath hitched and he gave you a soft smile."Morning princess." His voice was lower than usual and it made you shiver. In a good way. If you can shiver in a good way.
"Good morning Pock." You smiled as you replied, a hand reaching up to tap him on the nose.
"Boop." You said under your breath as you looked into his steel-grey eyes.
"Thank god you two are awake," Reiner walked into the room with a yawn and a stretch. You whipped your head up and fell off Porco and the couch in your hurry.
"Ooh ouch." You muttered as you rubbed your now sore tailbone.
"That was certainly dramatic." Porco looked at you with a smirk and and eyebrow raised. "You alright?"
"Y-yeah. I'm gonna go make breakfast now." You got up and hurried to the kitchen, leaving behind a confused Porco and a Reiner who was trying to contain his cackles.
Mind desperately trying to focus on making your spin on avocado and toast, you prepared separate parts to the dish. Avocado, poached eggs, toast, smoked salmon and rocket. With the amount of concentration you seemed to be in, you'd think that you wouldn't notice anything going on around you.
Smack!
You swung out the wooden spoon you were using and hit someone's hand trying to get some avocado without turning around."Colt. Out." You sighed, not bothering to look at the man who was cradling his injured hand. From the living room you could hear snickers from the other three.
You served breakfast at the dining table today, where Marcel had set out glasses and cutlery. With everyone seated with food in front of them, they said their thanks before digging in.
"How do you make something so simple taste so good?" Reiner said with his mouth full.
"You forget she's literally a culinary goddess." Colt said with a roll of his eyes and shot you a smile. You blushed and looked down at your plate with a smile. "You and Niccolo." He added thoughtfully."You know, I always thought they'd get together." Marcel said as he waved his spoon. "Ya know, bond over peeling potatoes and cutting onions." Reiner snorted.
"Nah. His heart belonged to potato girl the second he saw her eat his food." Colt smiled. You nodded."Sasha is such a sweet girl. We were great friends in middle school." You said. The four of you reminisced about old school days, leaving Porco to watch you all interact. He strangely didn't feel left out but instead found a small smile on his face as he watched you laugh at old memories he wasn't in.
"What are you smiling at brother dearest?" Marcel nudged him, a sly smirk on his face. Porco shuddered and wiped his face of his smile, his usual scowl back on his face.
You frowned at this and leant over the table to pinch his cheeks.
"You look like grumpy cat. And you'll have wrinkles by the time you're thirty." You sung, pulling his cheeks so he was smiling. Or rather grimacing. He shook his head and smacked your hands away gently. You laughed before finishing your food quickly.
"Here I'll do the dishes." Reiner leant over your shoulder to grab your now empty plate. You reached for it, still seated as you argued that you could do it. Porco had gotten up and collected some of the utensils used and stood behind you as well."Don't worry about it princess. You can cook and we'll do the cleaning." He patted your head.
The moment was ruined by Colt who interjected with "I don't know about that." Marcel scowled at him and Porco raised his hand to hit him, making him flinch. "W-what? I don't like cleaning!" Colt stuttered under the intimidating glares of the Galliards.

"I forgot I had a pool here." You muttered, legs swishing around in the chlorinated water."I- never mind." Colt gave you a funny look before diving underwater. Marcel floated on his back with his eyes closed and Reiner sat on the steps in the water.
"Drinks are here." Porco said, dropping the mini esky next to you, the contents clanging around.
"Coke please." Marcel flopped about in the water, arms flailing and splashing water everywhere. You wrinkled your nose and Porco scoffed.
"I'm not your slave. Get it yourself.""Brrr. That's cold brother." Marcel pretended to be hurt by Porco's words. You passed him his drink and he smiled at you. Colt popped up next to you and asked you for a drink. Startled, you jumped and fell back into Porco's legs as he was standing behind you, scowling at his brother.
You looked up at him and murmured an apology. He just nodded and softly pushed you off his legs. You pulled out a non-alcoholic drink for Colt and he swam away happily.
"Rein? What would you like?" You asked the young man who was staring off into space. With a small "huh?!" He snapped off of it and turned to you with a sheepish smile.
"Sorry, got a bit lost there." You smiled softly and held out a bottle of water to him. He took it with a smile and continued to look of into the distance with unseeing eyes.Your face donned a worried frown as you turned to Porco who was in the water in front of you. Still sitting on the pool edge, you pulled out a bottle of your favourite juice.
"Don't worry too much about that idiot. Sometimes you gotta let him be with his stupid thoughts." Porco said in an attempt to soothe your worries. You smiled at him gratefully."Thanks Pock. You're right but I'm always gonna worry about him." You cast your eyes back to Reiner who was a bit more down to earth as he laughed with Colt and Marcel. As your eyes weren't on him, Porco frowned a little bit, an uneasy and horrible feeling expanding in his stomach.
The rest of the afternoon was peacefully spent lounging around the pool. At one point there was a wasp but that was the only thing causing any commotion. At around five, you all went in to have showers to get the chlorine out of your bodies.
You were in the kitchen preparing dinner when Reiner came in to talk to you.
"Hey! What's up!" You ask, wiping your hands on a tea towel as you shot him a quick smile.
"Ah nothing. Sorry about in the pool. I just caught caught up in my thoughts." He turned away from you to stir the pot on the stove that you were previously hovering over.
"Oh Reiner. Don't apologise, okay? As long as you're okay. Did you wanna talk more about it?" You asked as you patted his back lightly. He shook his head with a small smile."I'm good thanks (N/n). But how are you?" He turned the conversation back to you. You hummed.
"I'm doing well! I'm over my little episode from yesterday." Your tone was apologetic."You know, you should probably start opening up to Porco more." Reiner said. You have him a slightly confused look.
"Why's that?"
"Cause I have a feeling you two will one day be very, very close." Reiner smiled at you, as your cheeks tinged a light pink.

The rest of the night went by quickly; people complimented your cooking as always, a little dispute over the dishes was made and a little bit of Mario Kart was played."Hey we still up for the party tomorrow?" Reiner asked, holding up his phone that was displaying a text from "YtheLongFace" about a party. You smiled and jumped.
"Yes! It'd be nice to see everyone again." You said."God someone's gonna have to hold me back from kicking that damned traitorous monkey where the sun don't shine." Porco's muttered under his breath.
"Brother, you need to get better with your threats. Say you'll boil his teeth or scrape all his skin off with a spoon." Marcel grinned, making Porco smirk, eyes gleaming.
Colt watched in horror.
