I wake up to an empty bed. Looking around the room, my boyfriend calls out to me. "You ready for your new job, Kaleb?" Ray asks, getting dressed. I sat up, putting on my sweater. "I guess so, let's hope I don't get fired from this place." I replied with a smile. He walked over to me, leaning down to kiss my head. "You'll do great, what's the worst that could happen?" He stated. I nodded and began to make the bed.

I brought my collection of dirty cups to the kitchen and started washing them, I didn't realize I had so many in the room. Ray was already downstairs, making coffee. I wasn't a big fan of coffee, but I drank it anyway. "Want some?" He asks, serving himself some. "Yes, please. Do you know if we still have creamer?" I reply, drying my hands on the kitchen towel.

Ray opened the fridge, searching for the creamer. "We're out again, I can get some after practice." Ray explains. I grab a mug from the cupboard and Ray pours some coffee for me. I grab my cup and we walk over to the living room to sit.

I take a sip from my cup, the strong taste getting to me. "I'll never understand how you drink this stuff, Ray." I bite my tongue, hoping the flavor will get better but it doesn't. "It's good, you just need to get used to it." He remarks with laughter.

"You have any plans today?" I ask as I place my mug down on the coffee table. Ray looks away, deep in thought. "I have to go to the studio soon, get some groceries, and then I'll be back home. What about you?" Ray explains.

The clock on the wall reads 8:22 a.m. "I have a lot of time before my shift starts, maybe I could go to the studio with you? We could all hang out or something." I respond.

"That sounds like a plan, K. I'll let the guys know you're tagging along." Ray says with a smile. "Golly, I was hoping you'd be okay with that. You guys are my only friends." Ray and I burst into laughter.

"Of course I'd be okay with it! Just try not to take too long to get dressed." Ray replies. I gasp dramatically. "How dare you accuse me of taking too long! It's not my fault I want to look cool."

Ray puts his arm around me, still giggling.

"I'll go get ready, just give me a few minutes." I state, hesitantly getting up from the couch. "I'll be here when you get back." Ray calls out.

I run up the stairs and open my closet. A pair of black jeans await for me, leaving me to grab the collared shirt I bought the other day. The pants seem to have shrunk, unless I gained weight. It takes me awhile longer to put them on. The shirt fits me a bit big, almost like a dress but I feel more comfortable that way. I grab one of Ray's ties and attempt to put it on. The tie keeps slipping away, causing frustration.

As I quickly walk down the stairs, Ray turns around to see me holding his tie in my hands. "Need some help?" Ray smirks at me. I roll my eyes and he gets up from the couch to help me.

He does it with ease, along the way asking if it's too tight or too loose. "Thanks Ray, I don't know what I'd do without you." I tell him, looking down at the tie. Ray ruffles my hair. "I don't know what I'd do without you either, Kaleb."
