"I'm so happy to see you." I said to Ray, after putting my seatbelt on. "I'm glad to see you too, and hey! You're still in one piece." He exclaimed. Not exactly, I thought. "Was your night better this time?" Ray asked, starting up the car. I remembered what William had said.

"I'll hurt anyone you try to tell."

"Y-yeah, it was a better night. My head hurts a little though." I replied. "Aw, no. I'm sorry about that. Hopefully you can try to rest when we get home." Ray suggested. "No! I don't want to sleep again." I spoke a bit too quickly. Ray had a concerned look on his face. "Sorry." I mumbled. "It's okay." He replied softly, reaching for my hand and and assuring me that everything would be alright.

The ride back home was quiet except for the music playing. Tracks kept playing, they sounded familiar but I couldn't tell what songs they were. "Which CD is this?" I asked, turning to face Ray. "I think it's the one you made for me, hold on, let me turn it up." He replied. He turned up the volume so that I could hear it better. Instantly, I knew what it was. "Hopelessly Devoted To You, Olivia Newton John." I stated, smiling at Ray. We began singing, although I kept singing out of tune. I loved it when Ray sang, it sounded so wonderful. It took my breath away. "You need to teach me how to do that one day." I said giggling. "What, singing? You sing just fine, Kaleb. You're a little bit pitchy sometimes." Ray explained, squinting his eyes. I hid my face behind my hand, still laughing at Ray's words.

We got back to the house and I practically ran inside. I flopped onto the couch and sighed. I was safe at last. "You didn't wait for me, I'm hurt." Ray said, pouting at me as he closed the door. I frowned and got up from my seat, running over to him. I extended my arms, offering him a hug. He leaned down and accepted it. "So, whaddya wanna do?" I asked Ray, letting him go.

He clicked his tongue and thought for a second. "We could take a nap? Wait, no, sorry. We could just lay down, we don't have to sleep." Ray quickly stated. "Yeah, we can do that. I don't think I can sleep quite yet." I replied, shrugging. "I'll go get a blanket." I told him. He made himself comfortable on the couch while I went upstairs.

I walked into the bathroom and looked under the sink to see if we had any bandages for my head. There was a basic first aid kit, but all I could find was gauze and medical tape. "This could work." I said to myself. I tried my best to put it on, but it wasn't tight enough. At last, I fixed it, grabbing a beanie and using it to hide the mess I made. I carried the blanket in my arms and walked back down the stairs.

"Alright, there we go!" I exclaimed, pulling the cover over the two of us. Ray wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek. "You're alright, okay? You're at home." Ray whispered. I nodded and then began to shut my eyes.

"Wake up, wake up!" A familiar voice exclaimed. "What-what is it?" I asked. I opened my eyes to see Frank, Mikey and Gerard. Ray and I sat up. "How'd you guys even get in?" Ray asked, rubbing his eyes. Mikey smirked, showing us a key. "You should probably find a new spot for the emergency key." Gerard remarked with laughter.

Ray and I finally get up, I fold the blanket and leave it on the couch. "So, what're you gonna do today?" I ask Mikey after getting a glass of water. "I think we're gonna try to work on the album later, I kinda wanted to go to the park too." He responds. I place my cup on the table. "The park sounds fun. We should play some basketball." I say, with a small smile. "We should get take-out and eat at the park." Ray suggests. "No more pizza though, I've had enough of that cheesy stuff." Frank groans with a hand over his stomach. "I second that Frankie, especially after going to Kaleb's job." Gerard states.

note:(i realize that frank is vegan and doesn't eat cheese most likely so uhm, yeah i'm an idiot, sorry about that. it's fiction so i guess it's fine though? i don't know)

(fun fact: my dad used to work at pizza hut in high school and he would bring pizza to his family constantly, they were happy about it at first but then got really sick of it)

"Pizza's good, but we should probably take a break from it." Ray says. "What are you guys in the mood for then?" Mikey asks. "Ooh, what about tacos?" I say. "Yeah, that sounds good." Gerard replies. We agree on tacos and decide to get going. I check the time on the microwave. 2:30. I'm still not sure if I should go back to work tonight. My thoughts are interrupted when I hear Frank call out my name. I turn around to face him. "Which basketball did you wanna take?" He asks. "Uh, you guys can pick. I think this one has more air though." I reply pointing at the basketball on the right.

Gerard stands by the front door, fixing his hair. "Well are you ready, Ray?" Gerard asks. (i hate myself, sorry for the references) "Yeah!" Ray exclaims. We hurry outside, not wanting to waste a minute more. It feels really nice out. No sun, just the cool air surrounding us. "I call shotgun!" Frank yells. "I wanted to sit in the front!" Gerard cries. "Next time." Frank replies, laughing at Gerard. Mikey, Gerard and I sit in the back. "Put on your seatbelts, children!" Ray exclaims. "I'm older than you, cupcake!" Gerard states. "Yeah, if anyone here is a child, it's Frank and Kaleb." Mikey says, cleaning his glasses. I open my mouth to make an argument, but nothing comes out.

"You also count as a child, Mikes. You're only a year older than Frankie and K." Ray says with a smile. We continue talking and laughing, everything in the world seems just right.
