ANNA DELANEY

This man throws off the most confusing signals, how am I supposed to react to this? One moment he wants to ruin me? And the next he is threatening to take me on the desk? Not that I'd really mind but-- no, I would mind. I despise and loathe the man, there is no way I am going to sleep with him.

I decide to put that aside and remain professional, once again, being the bigger person here. The day went by pretty fast as I was out of the building most of the time. Damon had meetings to get to and places to be so I remained outside enjoying the sun while running his useless errands.

I was looking forward to tonight since Nat was taking us out to yet again, another high class club. We hadn't gone in a while so I thought why not? I always tend to refuse these outings but I particularly wanted to go tonight. Also, Damon had me write down the location and time on his calendar so he was going too. But I'm not going for him. Right. Keep telling myself that and it'll eventually become true and I will believe it myself.

After my whirlwind of a day, I got home and found Nat getting ready in her room. Pulling an envelope full of cash out of my purse, I handed it to Nat, "Thank you for the loan Nat. I have no clue what I would do without you."

"Of course Anna," she got up from her vanity and gave me a hug.

I walked in my room getting dressed in a red satin spaghetti strapped dress. I had to admit, it was a very short dress but I liked the way it showed off my legs. I slipped on heels and ruffled my ombre blonde hair to give myself a sexy, messed up look. I had makeup on moderately but I chose red lipstick to accentuate my lips.

Just as I was getting my clutch together with everything I needed for the night, my phone rang from the charger near my bed.

"Miss.Delaney?" a familiar, feminine voice asked.

"This is she," I responded a bit curious as to who was calling.

"I'm calling from 'Treatment at Hobbs' and--"

"Listen, I get that she wants to see me but I don't pay you every month to call me. I pay you to take care of her," I whispered into the phone hoping Brielle and Nat didn't hear me.

"Actually-"

"I have to go. Please don't call me about this again," I addressed the women and hung up. Of course I felt like a bitch, how could I not? I felt bad for being rude and acting that way but I had to get the message across somehow.

Not wanting to think about this anymore, I closed my eyes, inhaled and exhaled slowly and then pulled myself together making it to the car outside where Nat, Brielle, and Lana were waiting.

"So who's coming tonight?" Lana asked. I was a bit curious myself to see if Damon was actually going to show up or not. If I asked, Nat would only catch onto something and make a big spectacle of it. And there is nothing between Damon and I.
