ANNA DELANEY

"Derek?" I asked, his surprise catching me off guard sobering me up.

"Anna. Long time no see," he smiled creepily as she shoved me onto the wall with his hand squeezing my throat. I tried to say something, anything but his hold was too tight, I could barely get enough air in. "Don't struggle Anna," he whispered as I inhaled his breath laced with vodka and drinks. I didn't listen to him however, my hands found his as I tried to claw them off my neck. "The more you struggle, the harder it'll be," he squeezed even harder.

Letting go, my hands fell to my sides as his hold loosened so I could breathe. "What-What are-" I tried to ask.

"What am I doing here? Well, it's quite a funny story Anna," he laughed as he squeezed harder. "I found out big man Mr.King had a new PA and to my surprise, you were both at the bar the day I had gotten fired from my old job. Do you know how good I would have looked if I had landed a job at King Industries?" Squeezing harder, his other hand came around my body to seize my ass as tears started to well up in my eyes. "Fucking answer me when I ask you a damn question!" he whispered-yelled.

"Good-good," I rushed out before his advance could go any further.

"So I found you at the club and thought, why not hook up with the PA and have her put in a good word for me. Everything was working out perfectly until Damon King came along and told me to break up with you. I couldn't say no to him, I mean he's Damon freaking King. And if I did say no, I'd be digging my own grave. So I had to break up with you. There went a relationship that could've been built with the country's most powerful man, a job that would've made my family proud, and... a night with you," he whispered into my ear as he gripped my thigh harshly, his nails digging into my skin.

"Derek," I gasped, reaching for air trying to shove his hands off me. "Stop. Get off me!" I had tried to yell but it only came out as a whisper as tears started to run down my face. His hand dug deeper into both my thigh and throat as he started to unbuckle his belt while his lips ran down my the v-line of my dress. "Please. Stop," I cried willing him to come to his senses and get off me.

Shoved off me, Derek went flying onto the other wall as I collapsed to the ground on all fours coughing and wheezing trying to breathe properly.

"Dad. Dad- stop, you're going to kill him," Nat yelled trying to get her father to stop punching Derek but I couldn't help but notice that the glint in his eyes looked like he wanted to kill Derek without any hesitation. Stepping in front of Derek, Nat held out her hands trying to calm her father. "Go clean up. I'll help her, you're not in the right state of mind," she said, squashing any arguments that may come from his side.

Still sitting on the ground, my hand clutched to my throat with tears streamed down my face, I nodded at him, silently thanking him for saving me. "Are you? Did he-"

"No- No. I'm fine," I managed to say although my throat was still scratchy.

"Come on," she said crouching down, offering a hand. "I'll take you home."
