Today was the big day— the yule ball, the one night that students and teachers been talking non-stop about, excitedly— their dates, what they will wear, which hairstyle they should do and decorating the great hall with the beautiful christmas trees that covered with the lovely white color of the snow— it was an absolute beautiful sight
" what taking you so lon-" me and pansy were in her dorm getting ready for the ball, she insisted to do my hair and make up saying: ' that this is my first ball and date ever' so she should do it for me
" bella— stay still will you? i'm trying to put some lipstick and you won't stop talking and moving " she hold my shoulder with her both hand to keep me still, i give her a small glare and decided to shut my mouth before she lose her patience and hex me
"Alright— all done!" pansy closed the lipstick and looking at me with a proud face " oh.my.god bella— you look hot as fuck!! cedric will be the luckiest guy for having such a date like you" she looked at me admiring her work " pans, i swear to merlin if you made me look like some bloody clown i will- "
" shut up" she said while fixing some of the wavy strands of hair that are falling on the side of my face " but pans you don't understand— it's my first ball ever and on top of that my first date! i'm so nervous what if i messed up while dancing and end up falling on top of the poor guy" i frowned my eyebrows at the thought
" you will be fine, stop worrying too much— everything will go completely fine" she went to her bed and picked up my dress and handed it to me " now go and wear your dress so you can see the final result— also there's only one hour left before the ball start" she added and i took the dress from her hands and tired sigh left my lips
I looked at the mirror totally amazed by the sight— i never thought one day i'll look that beautiful. pansy really did an amazing job
" shut up!" pansy's jaw dropped open " what?" i chuckled at her reaction
" you look really beautiful bella!!" she breathed
" i won't lie, you really did an amazing job— but don't flatter yourself " i chuckled one more time and spine towards the mirror that was behind me to see my appearance one more time— smiling to myself
I looked at pansy behind me through the mirror and my eyes almost gave up and released a single tear— how i'm so lucky to have her in my life, she's the best friend i never thought i'll have, words can't describe how thankful i'm for pansy— she helped me a lot in so many ways, she always been the one to comfort me when i have a break down for missing my parents. she always been the one who stood up for me every time astoria throw some remark at me. she always been the one who reminds me that i'm beautiful and worth a lot whenever i say the otherwise— who thought for a moment that THE Pansy Parkinson, the cruel slytherin girl who throw a nasty remark to almost every student walking on the grounds of hogwarts, will be that kind and loyal?— so i won't hesitate for a moment to do for her as same as she's doing for me and more— whenever she need me. she will find me by her side.
