Ch.17: Now, the Ex of Edward Cullen

I woke up to bright flashing lights and the sounds of beeping from a heart monitor. I opened my eyes carefully and saw Edward sitting right beside me. His eyes quickly darted to me and hee held my hand. I tried to smile but it hurt in every inch of my body.

"W-w-why am I here?," I stuttered.
"You got attacked last night by a vampire," Edward said.
"A v-vampire? What vampire?," I asked.
"We found you in the middle of the woods with a newborn vampire hovering over you," Edward said.
"B-but I-I n-never l-left m-my r-room o-or m-my h-house," I cried.
"It's okay to be scared but to be stupid?," he asked in a disguisted voice.
"I wasn't stupid! I never left my damn house!," I urged.
"Then, why were you in the woods?," Edward hissed.
"I don't know - - I saw your brother - -," I started.
"Which brother of mine? Emmett? Jasper? Or Cassius who you have been obsessed with since the day I introduced you both?," Edward hissed.
"Cassius appeared in my room!," I urged.
"He didn't appear in your room and I know that for a fact," Edward hissed.
"How do you know that?," I hissed, back.
"Because I was with him the whole time," he said.
"You were? The whole time?," I asked.
"Yes, I was. He and I were reading the entire time," Edward said.

I felt like he was lying to cover Cassius, again. I know that was Cassius coming into my room last night. I know that I never left my room in the first place. I looked at him and I felt angry, but I must've not looked it since he looked amused.

"I never left my room," I said.
"You were found of your room," Edward said.
"You know what?," I asked.
"What?," he asked.
"Where were you? You always come but you weren't," I said. "Plus, wouldn't have my father heard someone come into our house in the middle of the name"?
"Like I said, I was with Cassius. No, he wouldn't have heard," Edward said.
"Edward, I honestly don't believe you," I admitted.
"Why's that?," he asked.
"I feel like you're covering for him," I admitted. "I feel like you let him come into my room and attack me".
"Bella, are you hones- -," he started.
"I am very serious," I said in a heated tone.
"Well, I'm gonna be serious," Edward said.

He immediately stood up from his chair and grabbing his coat. I looked at him and saw Cassius standing in the doorway of my hospital room.

"Edward, where are you going?," I whispered.
"Leaving," he mumbled.
"To where?," I asked. "Please stay".
"No, I'm leaving you," Edward mumbled.
"What do you mean?," I asked.
"I'm leaving you, again. I'm breaking up with you," Edward said.

He turned around and left with his brother. I started crying and the nurses came in to calm me. Charlie came into the room as a nurse told him that I was. I had to explain to him that I'm now the ex of Edward Cullen once more....
