S08E04: going back and forth.

That night

Hakeem and Tiana made it back home. "Wana explain to me what happened to you and that bitch tonight? What were you doing at the airport anyways.?" Hakeem asked.

He needed answers. "Where you planing to run away from home, leave me home with our kids without saying goodbye?" Hakeem asked. Tiana had no answers at this moment. She was headed somewhere but it was better she talked to Cookie about it.
"I'm going to check on our kids" Hakeem said and walked out. The kids where at the mansion. He was really upset.

At Lucious' mansion
Hakeem arrived and went straight to the kids' room. After a while he heard his parents argue. He groaned and went to the living room. Cookie barged in. "I didn't know you were here!" She said.
"Can I crush here?" He asked. Cookie sat down. "What happened?" She asked. "She was leaving ma. She was leaving me without saying goodbye. She wanted you there to beg you to take care of the kids while she's away" Hakeem said. "I'm sure thats not all of it baby. I'm sure there's more to this, Tiana is a good mother she would never leave without a valid reason. Boy, what did you do?" Cookie asked. "nothing ma. For the first time I actually did nothing. She just stopped loving me" he said crying. "No. She loves you. Relationships are just complicated. Where is she now?" Cookie asked.

"Home. Probably getting in a cab to JFK again" he said. His phone rang in his pocket. He pulled it out. It was Tiana.
Cookie looked at him. "Talk to her baby. Hear her out" Cookie said. Hakeem picked the phone walking away from his mother.

Cookie sighed and called Porsha.
On call:
Cookie: hey, just wanted to check if you okay ..and if the baby is okay
Porsha: we okay now. Thanks for calling 'Dre.
Cookie: I'm so happy to hear that. Finally some good news. I will see you tomorrow, good night

(Cookie said hanging up)
She leaned her back on the couch and huffed. Hakeem walked in. "She wants me to come home" he said. Cookie Nodded. "Go. Don't worry about the kids." Cookie said. Hakeem nodded and walked out.

Cookie went back to the master bedroom after checking on the kids.

Lucious was asleep or pretending to be. Cookie reached for her phone and car keys then sneaked out. She slowly closed the door. Lucious opened his eyes.

Cookie got in her car and drove to her apartment. She couldn't stay another minute in that house with a husband who don't want her there.

The following day.
Cookie was in her office. Tiana came with Coffee to apologise for Missing studio sessions. "Wana tell me what's going on?" Cookie asked. "It's complicated but I handled it." Tiana said. "For your sake I hope you did." Cookie said. "I will make it up to you with a new track" Tiana said. "it better be good. Go to work." Cookie said. Tiana was headed out. "I hope you are not playing my son Tiana, you will break him. I'm not prepared to pick up the pieces now. Keem is a changed person because of you. He do and say things I never thought he knew how to because of you. He is a good father and wants a family. If you playing him Now I swear there won't be a place for you to hide in this town" Cookie said. "I'm not playing him Cookie I love Keem. I love him so much" Tiana said. "good." Cookie said.

"I just have something from the past that I need to clean up" Tiana said. "Do it fast because if keem is getting a negative energy from you he will stop giving a shit and we all know how he can be" Cookie said. "I know. I will take care of it. Thanks" Tiana said. Cookie nodded her out. Tiana walked out.

Lucious walked in. She rolled her eyes. "You want me to chase after you?" He asked. She didn't respond she just started typing on her computer.
"What do you want from me Cook?" He asked. "Nothing" she said. "I won't beg you to come home" he said. "Good to know because I'm not coming back. You need your space right? Enjoy your space Lucious. Have fun" she said.
