S08E05: Working Together.

After a quiet dinner for two. Cookie was trashing leftovers. "You don't have to do that Mrs Lyon, I got it" Juanita said. "You can use a break" Cookie said. "And what about you?" Lucious asked from the entrance. He was leaning his head on the frame, smirking deviously like the real Lucious.

Juanita and Cookie looked at him. "You take care of everything and everybody. You deserves to rest" Lucious said. Juanita smiled.
"I was just helping for the night" Cookie said. "You already cooked, that's help enough. Come here" Lucious said so sweetly. Cookie was a little confused by his sudden caring behavior. She looked at him then at juanita. "Good night Juanita" Cookie said. Juanita smiled and nodded. Cookie walked towards Lucious and stood in front of him. He embraced her then kissed her hands. "Let's go to bed" he told her. She nodded they went to bed together like their old normal, recently it's been different Cookie hardly slept in Because she was irritated by the new Normal

In the master bedroom.
Lucious helped Cookie slip into something comfortable. They got under the covers. She was about to turn her back and rest her head down on the pillow when he held her hand.

"What's been going on?" He asked. She looked at him and huffed a truckload of disturbed air. "Are you ready for this or you need more time?" She asked. "I'm ready." He said squeezing her hand. "Empire lost a lot of money, Artists are missing studio sessions. There is no promising heat album at the moment, everybody is just playing house. Andre told me there's also a lost client" Cookie said.

Lucious looked disappointed. "It's my fault" he said. She shook her head no. "It's not your fault. Everything is getting back to normal now, but Empire needs you Lucious. I'm trying to step up and help Andre but I got Bossy to worry about" she told him. He nodded. "I will go over there tomorrow. What else is going on?" He asked.

"Andre has a child on the way... With Porsha" she said. "What? How is that even possible?" Lucious asked. Cookie shrugged. "I am still trying to wrap my head around it. I don't get it either" she said. They looked at each other and laughed. "Did he stop taking his meds or something because what are the odds of that happening, explain to me" Lucious said.
"Get this, your stupid son things he likes her and want to take care of her and the baby" Cookie said. "Well I mean he is a Lyon, he knows family is everything, I'm proud of him for stepping up." Lucious said. Cookie nodded. "Hakeem thinks Tiana is cheating on him, I talked to her, she says she got the past that's haunting her or whatever the stupid fuck is going on. I swear everybody is just acting crazy" Cookie said. He looked at her.

"Maybe crazy is the new normal." She added. He chuckled. "Look thank you very much for keeping up with me, for taking care of empire and our sons." He said and kissed her hand. She blushed and squeezed his hand.
"We good?" She asked. He nodded and scooted closer. "After fixing everything and everybody, let's take off, somewhere foreign. Maybe in the farm. I can buy you a land. And build a vacation house there. Somewhere distant. Were we can be us and do things together." He said and looked in her eyes. "we need it" he added. "I will clear my schedule" she said. "I love you Cook. I still do VERY much" he said now leaning his head on her shoulder. "I love you too Lucious" she said and kissed the top of his head then leaned the side of her head on his head.

Two days later
Lucious was back to the Empire, everybody was working hard, there was a weekend concert which starts on Friday to Sunday for both empire and bossy artists. It was created by Cookie and transformed by Lucious. To be a part of the concert an artist had to have an approved hit song. The artists were working themselves above normal.

In the studio.
Hakeem was working on a new song it needed a female vocalist and he was still not in good terms with his wife, their relationship was on life support because Tiana was very secretive about what was going on in her life.
