Episode 3: Cookie's emotions

It has been five days since Lucious has been gone. It was literally driving cookie out of her mind. She was not okay at all. She was not the usual tough cookie they are used to. Jamal was worried about her. She was not eating, not coming out of his office. Playing his music cocking guns. They were scared she might kill herself. Pacing on the floor over and over. She was no longer limping luckily.

She started listening to songs he created for her.. from the song that was written by Puma to *you are so beautiful*... *Dream on with you* to Yana's *home is on the way* ... She had uncontrollable tears shimmering down her face. She started throwing temper tantrums. Tossing things around. Cocking guns and shooting at the wall. Jamal and Hakeem rushed inside. Jamal restrained her, and Hakeem took the gun. She cried uncontrollably, crashing down. Jamal touched her and embraced her, his tears coming down. He looked at Hakeem, he just looked back at him.

After crying her lungs out, Jamal and Hakeem helped her up and took her to the living room. They gave her water. She didn't drink it. She ended up falling asleep on the couch. Jamal called Candice while she was sleeping.

Candide immediately came to the house with Carol. Jamal told them what happened. They waited for cookie to wake up.
After 4 hours of sleep Cookie finally woke up. She opened her eyes And found Candice and Carol gazing at her.

"What are you all doing here?" Even the way she said this line didn't sound like Cookie. Her voice was sleepy, husky, tired, forced. She wasn't fighting, screaming, yelling as they imagined. Carol's heart broke. She looked at Candice. "Hey, Sis!" Carol said lowering her voice. It sounded sweet and concerned. "Go home. I don't need a babysitter!" Cookie said wrenching her covers off of her. She then walked to the kitchen. They looked at each other. They were really concerned. "Damn! She gone!" Carol said. Candice quickly looked at her with warning eyes. "What... you saw that.. she-is-gone! You know what? maybe we should call her shrink." Carol said. "Uh.. Carol!" Candice warned. "What?" Carol said. "She doesn't need a shrink, she needs her sisters." Candice corrected. "Uh..I don't know sis, did you see that bitch?" Carol said. Candice took her hand and pulled her to the kitchen. Cookie was forcing her fruit cup. That's all she could eat.

Candice and Carol stepped inside.
"Loretha... We are here because we are worried about you." Candice said. Cookie didn't object. She just made a face and continued eating her fruit cup. "Yeah sis.. you look like the walking dead!" Carol said. "Carol!" Candice shouted. "We know you love him sis. That's why you falling apart!" Candice said. "So, you been here will bring him back?" Cookie asked in a calm irritated voice. "No. But it will bring you back!" Candice said. "Yes sis, we are here for you" Carol added. Cookie's tears ran down her cheeks. "I cant.-i can't!" She gasped words her voice fading. "Shush! It's okay!" Candice said approaching her. She embraced her. Carol joined in. Cookie allowed herself to feel her chest pain and cried. "It's okay sis, we got you." Carol said, they pulled from the embrace. "He took a hit, he didn't make a struggle when they took him. What if... What if-" cookie was cutting herself, she didn't want to say it. She sniffled and wiped her tears. Her mind started going through the faces she saw that night.
"He is Lucious. He will not give up breathing. He is stubborn. He is strong. He will wake up from the sleep. He will come back to life. You need to believe that!" Candice said.

Cookie looked at both of them and took each if their hands. "Thank you for coming. I'm sorry I lashed out on you guys" cookie said. "We know, it's therapy." Carol said. "What?" Cookie asked. "when last did you see your shrink?" Carol asked. "Can you believe this crack hoe?" Cookie Whispered to Candice. "She's your sister." Candice said. Cookie let out a chuckle. They all laughed a little.

Hakeem's place .
Hakeem was still at Lucious' Mansion. He haven't been answering Tiana's calls and Bella was sick. Tiana decided to go over his place.
Maya opened the door after three bell rings.
"Good God. You can't take a hint can you?" Maya asked. "pardon me... A hint?" Tiana asked. Maya flipped her ring finger. "This hint!" Maya said. Tiana pushed her off the way. She was carrying Bella. She rested her on the couch. "Bitch you can't just barge in my house." Maya said. "Excuse me, but how much cheque do you write to pay bills around here? (They paused) I didn't think so. Where the hell is Hakeem bitch. Keem!" Tiana called him.
