Panic At The Disco - Emperor's New Clothes
A week has passed from Lyssie and Malfoy's last conversation. It seemed that the anger has disappeared, or at least wasn't showing as much as it did at the beginning. They just didn't speak, avoided each other. During the lessons, they sat on the opposite ends of the classroom and in the Great Hall, they made sure that there were at least two people between them. Any time Draco said something, Lyssie pretended not to hear him, and vice versa.
One day, however, on Saturday, Lyssie was laying on her bed reading something, when Pansy entered the room and said:
"Draco wants to talk to you."
She didn't look happy saying that. What is more, she appeared to be delighted with the fact that Draco didn't say a word to Lyssie throughout the whole week. She appreciated the conversation the girls had last week, but she still seemed to feel that Lyssie's presence was a threat to her relationship with Malfoy. Or so what she would call what was between them.
"If Draco wants to talk, why won't Draco come up to me, instead of turning you into an owl?" Lyssie asked with her eyes on the book.
Pansy frowned.
"All right, all right, I'll talk to him," Lyssie said and closed her book. "Where is he?"
"Waiting in the library."
"In the library?" Lyssie asked angrily. "The prince wants me to walk through half a castle to have a conversation he insisted on?"
Pansy shrugged and moved so that Lyssie could walked past her.
Indeed, Malfoy was waiting for her at one of the tables. He wasn't reading anything when she walked in, just looking at the door. He was the only person there. Lyssie wasn't surprised. Other students must have had better things to do on Saturday evening than sitting in the library.
"You came," he noticed.
"Yes, Sherlock, I came," she sighed.
"Who's Sherlock?"
Lyssie shook her head to show that it didn't matter. Or maybe to show disapproval to his ignorance of not knowing who Sherlock was.
"Pansy said you wanted to speak to me," Lyssie said and sat down on one of the chairs. Habitually, she chose the one that was furthest away from Draco. "I'm waiting."
"I wanted to... apologize," he said reluctantly. Lyssie looked at him surprised. The doubt that his face expressed was the first emotion she saw Draco show, apart from anger and disguise. "I acted like an arsehole and I'm... sorry."
"I sure didn't expect that," Lyssie said.
"Does it mean that you forgive me?" he asked nervously.
"Well, now go to the corner and think your behavior through," Lyssie replied and smiled. She wasn't sure if Malfoy really thought about what he said but his apology seemed honest. Also, she liked Draco and was fed up with this whole argument.
He smiled as well. This view was even more surprising that the apology. Lyssie was sure she hasn't seen Draco smile through the whole two weeks she's been in Hogwarts.

Later that day, she got another note from Fred. This time, she was walking to her dormitory after a talk with Malfoy, as a paper plane hit her in the back of her head. She turned back but again, there was no one to be seen. Lyssie was sure, however, that she saw a ginger head disappear behind the corner. She smiled and opened the note.
