Indeed, it seemed that everything came to the state from before Christmas. Lyssie got her new schedule and it turned out that they will have more lessons in the morning, leaving the afternoons and evening free. It was also getting warmer every day, so already in the mid-March, the students were able to spend most of their free time outside. They would usually rush to the commons as soon as the classed finished and stay there until it became colder.
Lyssie liked to spend time near the lake. She usually encouraged her friends to go there and they would sit, talk and to their homework with the beautiful view of the lake. At first, they were a little hesitant to go there, claiming that it must he cold, but then, they would propose that themselves.
She also would meet up with Fred way more often than before Christmas. She enjoyed the company of her Slytherin friends, but only with Fred she felt truly herself. She didn't have to hide anything from him, and this openness was definitely something she needed. Usually, it was just two of them, but sometimes George and Lee would join them. Lyssie didn't mind it, however, as she considered them to be a good laugh together.
Somewhen towards the end of March, Dumbledore decided that he would allow the students to play Quidditch. It seemed that You-Know-Who has been silent for long enough and that the Quidditch pitch was safe for the students to visit. When the headteacher announced that the sport was back, everyone applauded. It seemed that those who didn't play for the teams also missed attending the matches.
It was decided that Slytherin will play with Gryffindor first and that their match will take place in a week's time, giving the players time to practice beforehand. That week, the whole school talked about Quidditch only. There was no way to focus on the lessons when the match was coming! Both Fred and Draco kept telling Lyssie about it and when the time has come, she had no idea on which side she should be. On the one hand, she wanted Fred to win the match, but on the other, she wanted Slytherin to get the Quidditch Cup.
The match was supposed to take place in the evening when everybody was done with their lessons. Draco left early, because he played in the team as a Seeker and had to discuss the final strategy with the team captain.
"Maybe you should join the team as well?" Pansy suggested to Zabini as they were all walking to the pitch. "You would make a great Seeker!"
"I don't think I would, love," he replied slightly annoyed. "I have never played and I'm not Draco Malfoy."
"Of course, of course!" she said quickly. "It was just a suggestion. You don't have to get all angry about that already..."
Lyssie laughed and they all entered the pitch. They took their places in the audience and waited for the match to start. Lyssie thought that they had great spots, because she was able to see the whole pitch from there. Soon after, the stadium was full of spectators and Lee Jordan announced the beginning of the match.
The players of both teams lined up in the middle of the pitch, with their brooms in their hands. The outfits they wore were almost identical, with Slytherins having green details, and Gryffindors red. Madam Hooch stood in the middle, with a whistle in her mouth.
Lyssie looked at Fred and he waved at her. She smiled and waved back. Then, she moved her eyes to Draco, and it turned out that he was looking at her as well. She waved at him too, but he just smirked.
The game began rather slowly. The players started flying around, trying to catch the balls. Lyssie thought that Quidditch was way more exciting to play that to watch.
"Ten points for Slytherin!" Lee Jordan screamed into his microphone. "Oliver Wood seems a little rusty. Do better next time, Olliver! Now, Angelina Johnson! Angelina, you look great in your uniform!"
