R I O N AStay away from him?
When I got home, I dropped the food on the table and of course, the girls were happy and only sang praises of Leonardo.
"Hey Rie, aren't you eating with us?" Iris asked with a concerned look when she noticed me sitting on the couch while lost in thought.
"Yeah kiddo, I'm just going to bed early today." I smiled while patting her head.
" Goodnight girls." I forced a smile and exited the living room.
Stay away from him? Are they still watching me?
I took out my phone and found out that I had another text from the boss.
Boss: 12pm tomorrow.
He wants to meet me? This has to be serious.
After reading both messages, my whole body felt weak all of a sudden. My brain searched for possible reasons why they wanted me to stay away but nothing.
Shit.

My eyes fluttered open when a sun ray penetrated my window and fell directly on my face.
Why's the sun so hot this morning?
I rolled over to the side of my bed and picked up my phone which informed me that it was already past twelve in the afternoon.
After I brushed my teeth, I opened my door wide with a scowl resting on my face as I marched downstairs while making my footsteps loud.
"Why did nobody think to wake me up?" I thundered from the staircase.
The girls who looked calm sitting on the couch while watching TV turned back and when they saw my expression, they looked as though they had seen a hideous creature.
"Ugh..Rie comb your hair!" Cassidy yelled from the living room while shielding her eyes.
"I agree," Thalia nodded. "You should at least comb your hair before coming down, it's a bad example for the girls."
" It's past twelve," I raised my phone to show them the time.
" So...?" Iris tilted her head in a confused expression.
"So, no one woke me up!"
"It's Saturday..."
" Doesn't matter!"
" You don't like us waking you up during weekends."
I tried to argue but I realized that I had forbidden them from waking me up early during weekends.
"Seems your brain works slowly during weekends." Thalia commented avoiding my eyes.
" Very funny, Lia." I replied sarcastically while rolling my eyes.
" Lia made us breakfast!" Cassidy squealed excitedly.
"Shut up, Cass." Thalia hit the back of Cassidy's head. " I always cook."
"Ow!"
"That'll teach you."
"I'm going out after breakfast and I'm not sure how long I'd be gone for." I announced to the living room.
" You work on Saturdays too..."
"I'm not going to be gone long, I'm just going for an afternoon shift." I lied to a sad Iris.
After I took a bath, combed my hair and put on a casual outfit, I went downstairs to have cereal before leaving.
"I'm off." I waved as I grabbed my car keys.
"Bye!"
"Bye Rie!"
Both girls waved excitedly but Thalia said nothing, she kept on typing on her phone.
I reached the shop on the outskirts of town, located in the middle of a drivable Forest. One never gets used to this, knowing that whenever I come here, it's always to find out who's going to die.
I parked my car in front of the shop and as always, I was greeted by Derick who was in his usual t-shirt and brown khaki shorts behind the counter.
"Good day Riona! Right on time as always, the boss is expecting you." He cheerfully informed me.
" As cheerful as ever," I sighed before walking towards the storage room of the shop.
As I walked past the closed doors, I couldn't help but remember how scared and nervous I was.
I knocked twice on the door of the boss before opening the door. He sat down on his big black elegant chair.
He was dressed in a black suit and his caramel colored bald head, shining brightly under the air conditioned room.
"Davis, take a seat." He pointed to the chair directly opposite him and I immediately did as I was told.
"Do you remember the rules we gave you when you first joined us?" He questioned with a raised brow.
Like they gave me a choice.
" Yes sir," I nodded.
"We told you that you shouldn't get involved with people your age because they are too inquisitive." He lectured. " Why are you getting involved with Leonardo Lujan?" He hit his table.
" It's for an assignment."
" Then also explain to me why you agreed to tutor Keith Anderson."
" It was a special request from a teacher, to keep up appearances, I have to silently agree to everything teachers say."
" You're getting too involved with them Davis," he warned in a stern tone.
" I only have to hang out with Leonardo one more time."
" Handle Anderson as well, he's too interested in you."
" Yes sir," I nodded. " Are you still having us watched?" I finally took courage to ask.
"Of course we are!" He rolled his eyes. "I can't have you do what your pathetic mother did." He completed.
" She's not my mothe-"
" Don't talk back at me unless I give you permission to!" He thundered and I could feel shivers run down my spine.
"Sorry sir."
"Listen Davis, we had an agreement to keep your siblings out of harm's way if you followed all our instructions without fail, we are doing you a favor by paying for the tuition, house and hospital bills." Boss smirked.
"If you think you're some regular teenager that wants to have fun and party, your siblings might have to pay for it and we won't hesitate to kill them all off. If you also think about getting involved with teenage boys that would distract you, I will have to kill them too. You have everyone's lives in your hands, be smart." He used is index finger to tap the side of his head.
I sat frozen in my sitter position, it has been forever since boss felt the need to threaten me with my siblings and now not only my siblings are involved, also Leonardo who has been nothing but nice to me and that annoying Keith.
"I'm done with you, you may leave now." His deep voice echoed in the room.
As I struggled with my shaky knees, I had different thoughts running through my mind.
"Davis," he called from behind when I reached the door and I turned to meet his eyes. " Get rid of them." He ordered.
That woman is to be blamed for all this. I hate her so much.
