"Now kids, if you want to fight try to make it not so obvious! I had to stay in school an extra hour because of you two." Mr Joe warned.

"We're sorry, Mr Joe." I apologized while shooting death glares at Darcy.

"I'm the social studies class rep, I had to do what he says!" She defended herself when she looked at me.

"There's no need to apologize Darcy, instead they should be thanking you." Mr Joe told Darcy. "Look how happy both of them look." He pointed at Leonardo and I.

"Anyway, I'm off. Have fun you two." Mr Joe waved us and left with Darcy.

I took out my phone and saw a text from Lia saying Mr Joe asked her to get the girls and then another saying she reached home already.

"Do you want me to take you home?" Leonardo asked and I shook my head.

"My car's still here because I have the key." I dangled it up in his face.

"Okay then, I'll see you tomorrow." He smiled at me before walking towards the exit.

I watched him walk until I couldn't see his figure anymore. Why do I feel at ease knowing that we're on good terms again? My heart is beating so fast like it's doing somersaults.

Now for Keith.

Why would he threaten someone to lie to me about Leonardo? Aren't they friends? What's going on here? I can't let my guard down around Keith.

A beep from my phone made me come back to reality. I was still standing in the empty hallway by the janitors corner.

Keith: Where are you? Why aren't you home yet?

He's at my place again?

I replied as I walked out of the hallway, "I'm on my way home, don't move, we need to talk." I hit send.

After driving for some time I reached my house and I noticed his car parked outside.

I undid my seatbelt and walked into my house. The first thing I noticed was Cassidy talking to Keith while Iris and Lia were sitter at the other side of the couch.

"I'm home!" I announced and they all smiled at me.

"Keith can you come out for a sec? I need to talk to you." I hollered at him and he nodded.

Keith and I both stood on the porch as he maintained a calm demeanor with a smirk on his face but I was itching to just slap his across the face.

"You look so pretty today," he complimented and placed his hand on my cheek then took a step closer to me.

He brought his face closer to mine and when he was inches away from me, I pushed him off.

"Why did you lie to me?" I questioned him and he looked surprised.

"Lie to you? I don't understand." He pretended to not know.

"My patience is wearing thin so you better answer me before something else happens." I threatened.

His calm demeanor remained but a weird energy seemed to have engulfed him too as he let out a cynical chuckle.

I wasn't moved, I've seen worse but this aura feels very different from the one that he always radiates. His usual energy is sunny and annoying but instead this one is dark and unpredictable.

Who is the real Keith Anderson? The sunny guy or this cynical one? What are his intentions? Oh my God he knows my sister's damn it!

"You must have many questions about me right? I'll answer them one at a time, go ahead and ask." He said with dominance.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Keith, you know that. But what you don't know is that I'm Keith Anderson Malloy." He answered.

Malloy? Why does that sound oddly familiar?

"Malloy, you mean?" I hesitated as I completed my sentence.

"Son of Rufus Anderson Malloy. Rings a bell?"

I stepped back.

"You killed my father didn't you ?" His lips twitched In a smile as he moved a step closer to me.

"You're mistaken. I didn't kill anyone, can you hear yourself? I'm 17, I'm in high school, why would I kill anyone?" I didn't let his revelation show that much effect on me.

"Can we both stop pretending now? I know everything Riona." He frowned.

"What does Leonardo have to do with any of this?"

"He's just a pawn. I came over to Colton High for just one reason, to make you suffer. I had thought I'd make you fall for me then I'd break your heart while doing some other things in the background to make you lose your mind but you didn't even want to breathe the same air as me-"

"I have a knack for detecting pretenders."

"You like Leo don't you?" He questioned and I looked confused.

"What? No, I don't."

"You may try to deny it or you're too broken to even realize it but you do like him. Everything that has to do with Leo sparks your interest but I don't care about your love story and that's why he had to be involved."

"Unfortunately for Leo he doesn't know that he has feelings for a monster and he was also this close to asking you out, I couldn't give you that pleasure so instead I told him we
were dating so he could back off which he did because he's just too nice of a person. I made misunderstanding creep up just so you could get hurt and so you both wouldn't have a chance of happiness."

"Jokes on you because I don't like him! Your plan was a flop and just so you know, Leo knows that we're not together and we also made up."

"But not for long because he's going to hate you for killing his mother."

My smile froze, "What do you mean?"

"Who do you think contacted your agency and asked them to murder his mom?"

"You bastard! He's your friend!" I tried to hit him but he caught my arm instead.

"He's a pawn."

"Take back your request!" I demanded as I struggled in his grip.

"You're in no position to make demands feisty pants. And no, I'm not taking that request away because when you do kill her, I'll make sure to let Leo know and then the fun really starts."

"You're sick!"

"You killed my father in cold blood and you have the audacity to call me sick? You're a monster Riona! You don't deserve love or happiness!"

His words for some reason pricked my heart.

"Oh and you only have five days left yeah? And I know this much, if you don't kill his mom, they go after your family and kill them one by one. Think about your sisters. Will you chose to protect Leo or your family?" He loosened his grip and pushed me away and then walked calmly into his car while I sat on the floor.
