How is it that he still trusts me?

It's weird how I just confessed to being paid to kill his mom but yet he's still trusts me?

I need to make this work, I have to.

After securing a nice parking spot at my undercover agency, I took a deep breath before I walked into the store.

"Good day Riona!" He greeted from behind the counter before looking into his computer. "You're not supposed to be here today until you complete your work?" He questioned.

" I need to speak to the boss and it's important, tell him I'm going in." I informed him.

"Kay then."

I pushed through the doors leading up to the boss' office before knocking on his door.

"Come on in Davis!" His voice so high pitched and sounded rough.

Seems like he's in a bad mood today, if he is then even better because Keith might end up dying.

I breathe a sigh of relief as the thought of someone killing off Keith.

"What's going on Davis? She's still alive and kicking so why did you come here?" He thundered.

He's gonna be so shocked after everything I tell him today!

" I came here with good reason boss." I replied him but he wore a confused expression.

" Sit." He ordered then I took the seat opposite him.

"It's the last operation boss, Keith is the one behind the last request! He wants me to kill off Leonardo's mom so he can accuse me of the murder."

"Accuse?" He cleared his throat. "I mean technically you are killing him." He voiced out.

"Sir, I'm saying that there is a conspiracy against me! He's the son of someone I have killed before! He's trying to screw me over! All this is a part of a scheme. We can't do this! We're going to get expo-"

"Enough!" He slammed his hand on the desk out of anger causing me to move back. "You know how this works, you don't get your personal life mixed with work and all this you mentioned sounds like a personal problem, we've gotten paid for it so do it." He frowned.

" Bu-"

" That's enough! The full amount has been paid to me already and the only reason you haven't received your payment is because you haven't completed your job." He explained.

" I-I can't do this job sir, I can refund the money you gav-"

" I think I'm giving you too much freedom," he shook his head. " I'm not asking you for a favor but it's an order, you have to kill her or you know what will happen to those you care about." He further threatened.

" Not my family." I weakly said.

" A life for a life."

I got up from the chair weakly as I processed everything he just said.

"Don't think about doing anything funny because I know you've been meeting and having conversations with her son, you know I will not hesitate to kill you both off and get a replacement for you."
