Y/N HUMMED A HAPPY TUNE AS HE TENDED TO HIS HORSE ALONG WITH HANGE AND NANABA, TWO OF HIS BEST FRIENDS IN THE SCOUTING REGIMENT.
"are you sure you won't attend the graduation ceremony?" nanaba asked as she brushed the coat of her steed. "he's first in class, what's more to be expected?" y/n replied with confidence. he fully believed that his son would graduate in the top 10, and he knew his son did, mostly because he was there the whole time to watch his son grow into a strong person. but, unfortunately...
"estelle didn't place in the top 10? how come?!" eren was infuriated, yet the person being spoken about seemed as calm as ever. "eren, it doesn't matter. i'm going to join the scouts anyway, placing in the top 10 will not make me any better or worse when i already know how strong i am." he sipped on his cup, calmly, but eren and the others knew that behind that calmness, laid a storm of anger, just waiting to be unleashed.
eren was doing a great job at being angry for estelle.
estelle placed his cup down and tugged at eren's sleeve. "eren, please, calm down, it's not like we'll be apart just because i didn't rank in the top 10." he held the angry brunette's hand and gripped it tightly, a silent plea for him to calm down.
eren looked at the blonde-haired teen and gritted his teeth. "how are you not going crazy over this?!" eren exclaimed, roughly pulling his hand away from estelle. his face fell at eren's aggressive actions towards him.
he sighed. "eren, it's so sweet that you're getting upset in my place, but just calm down. i'd be entering the scouts anyways, whether i placed in the top 10 or not. sure, dad may get upset, but that doesn't mean you should go around yelling at people." eren slowly began to calm down.
"besides, if both of us went crazy over my grades, the senior officers would have to deal with two crazy people." estelle added with a slight chuckle.
"oh, he stopped moving." connie laughed at the brunette as he passed by. hearing this, eren shot him a look that made connie laugh even harder. before eren could even begin to start yelling again, and probably bust out connie's eardrums, estelle grabbed eren's hand. "there you go again." he says with a lopsided smile.
