eren stared at petra as she was giving him a pleading look. he couldn't help but look at the bite mark on her hand, remembering how she and the other members of squad levi had bitten themselves a few nights ago to apologize to him.
"you better decide quickly before my swords do the deciding for you." y/n says, pointing the edge of his blade at eren. he no longer held the usual smile on his composed face. he was dead serious, ad his eyes were practically dripping with bloodlust.
"i-i..." eren squeezed his eyes shut.
"hurry! decide already!" levi roared at him from the front as the female titan was beginning to catch up to them. "eren!!" the rest of squad levi began to chime in, begging eren to stop himself from impulsively transforming into a titan.
"eren!"
"i'm with you!" eren finally yells, silencing everyone's yells towards him. y/n raised his brows in surprise before a wide grin spread across his face. he tightened his hold on his blades.
"that wasn't so hard now, was it?" y/n smiled. he took a deep breath, closing his eyes to regain his composure. "all right. squad, let's go. we're leaving the titan boy to these guys." y/n says as he stood up on the horse, balancing perfectly.
"you're leaving us?!" eren exclaimed, looking up at his superior. y/n looked down at him and smiled. "yup." with a single motion, he and his squadmates flew off squad levi's horses, retreating up into the trees. "they just-"
"heartless bastards." oluo spat, glaring up at squad y/n, who kept a safe distance from the titan above her head. "doesn't matter. we have our job, and they have theirs." levi stated. "sir, the target is speeding up!" eld exclaimed, looking back as he saw the female titan sprinting towards them, leaving a trail of dust behind her as she chased after them.
"keep moving! we're going to outrun it!" levi persists as he urged his horse to move faster. "outrun it?! outrun that thing?!" eren slowly began to panic again. the titan was so close, so much so that her hand was practically touching eren's hair.
