Apparently I had been unconscious for two weeks.

Needless to say, the other Moka finally came back after recovering the Rosary. Ginei was far from pleased to find that I detonated his bike.

It's been a hectic few months since then. I had to explain the eye, which was a touch too big for my socket, and was a touch painful to replace when I had finished my own prosthetic eye, and I doubted my friends would be eager to help pry it out.

Since then, the days have been passing along like normal, going to classes, taking care of the club's activities, and enjoying ourselves in our free time, with the occasional monster flipping their lid and wreaking havoc.

The days passed like minutes. It was all a total blur. The most memorable moments of it all would have to be the weekend dates in the human world with Kurumu. She always seems excited whenever we go there.

It's always nice to see her smile. She's sweet.

I also had to explain what happened between Marcus and I. They were surprised at the fact that Marcus was... decent, in spite of his actions. In all honesty, some of them almost pitied him after the learned of his unfortunate circumstances. I think they might have been glad that for the first time in a few years, I finally have some closure.

Eventually, winter break came along, and we all went our separate ways. Moka located her mother so she could spend some time with her, Yukari, Mizore, and Kurumu went back to their respective hometowns to spend time with their families during the break, and Ginei... I'm not sure where he went. I didn't see him leave. For all I know, he's sneaking into the girl's dorms while they're gone.

Personally, I went back to the human world. I still had a few things to take care of, and... a report to make.

After saying goodbye to Ramona and Cass, I made my way back. Back to where I had parked my ride. I made my way back to the field where I met Master Kestis, and found my ship there. Recognizing me on the scanners, the door opens up, and the ramp rolls down. I make my way into the ship, and begin to take off. Upon leaving the atmosphere undetected(as per usual), I set a course for Christophsis and activated the hyperdrive.

The ship jumps into hyperspace, and the stars and planets begin to zip by like streaks of light. I sit in the pilot's seat, not having anything to do at this point, just waiting for the course to be over.

When Christophsis finally comes into view, I let out a sigh as I inch closer. A transmission is sent for my entry code, and like any good resident of a private military base, I give them my code, and wait for verification. Once verified, I enter the atmosphere, and land my ship. Upon departing from it, I am met by several of my friends, and chat with them for a bit as I make my way towards central command. Upon my arrival, I enter the room. Several of my 'siblings' sit at desks going over the briefings for their next missions, and Leader Garrius stands in the center of the room, overlooking them all. My mask folds over my face as I approach him.

(Y/N) - Boss.

(Garrius) - Ah. Overhaul. It's good to see you back. I'm assuming you're currently on break?

(Y/N) - Yes, Sir.

(Garrius) - ...I'm assuming that you have something to tell me?

(Y/N) - Yes, Sir. It has to do with... Brother Magnum.

Everything goes so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. Boss's gaze turns cold.

(Garrius) - ...We should speak of this. Alone.

He turns his gaze towards the others, and the immediately go back to their work. Boss and I enter his office, and speak of Marcus.

(Garrius) - Marcus betrayed us. He sacrificed his title a long time ago, Overhaul.

(Y/N) - He didn't do it intentionally. His hand was forced at that point.

He seems surprised by my rebuttal, and my somber attitude.

(Garrius) - ...I'm listening.

Timeskip: A few days.

He seemed surprised at Marcus's predicament.

I must be honest, I didn't expect him to understand. He took it as if he was cursing himself for not seeing it sooner. Word spread fast, and suddenly, Marcus got a lot more pity than he did four years ago.

I was on a mission with Brothers Inferno and Bomber. We were sent to... 'discourage' an insurgency caused by a crowd of empire supporters that were harassing the queen. A fight broke out, and we emerged victorious with minimal collateral damage and no casualties.

I had split off from the group, and made my way towards the marketplace. The queen mentioned that there was a Jeweler here who would do custom orders.

It doesn't take me long to find the place, and I go inside, wondering if my order might be a bit much.

(Jeweler) - Oh, hey customer! What can I do for you?

I look up and see a bearded man. He appears to be in his early fifties with gray streaks in his black hair.

(Y/N) - Hi. I was told that custom orders would be accepted here?

(Jeweler) - Yeah, I do customs. Only thing is that you gotta bring the materials.

(Y/N) - I brought some, yeah.

(Jeweler) - Great! So, what can I do for you?

(Y/N) - Well... I've been dating this one girl for awhile now. She's...

(Jeweler) - Amazing?

(Y/N) - Words don't do her justice.

(Jeweler) - Ah. Got it. Funny thing is, I meet a lot of lovebirds who are looking for a ring. Not all of them do custom orders though. What kind of craft are you looking for?

I pull the sky-blue metal and purple gem from my bag, and set them on the counter.

(Y/N) - Arcetron with an amethyst. I wanted the band to match her hair and the stone to match her eyes.

(Jeweler) - She sounds unique. She here with you?

(Y/N) - No. I'm not going to be seeing her for another week. I'm working, and she's spending some time with her family.

We chatted for awhile, describing our sweethearts to each other. I never thought I would talk about romance for that long. He told me it would take a day or two to finish the ring, so I went about my business. I'm here until the end of the week, anyway. I figured I could burn some time on patrol.

...I wonder how she'll react when I ask her to marry me. I mean, the worst she could do is say no...

...Right?

1121 words. Not too bad if I do say so myself.

I'm sorry if this chapter feels all over the place, I got a touch emotional while writing this. The next chapter's going to be the finale, and in all honesty, I'm not sure I'm ready for it to be over yet. It is getting a sequel, don't get me wrong, but it feels... a bit strange to be ending the second-most popular book in my created library(believe me, I checked. You all must REALLY want my Overhaul sequel).

This will be getting a sequel, but I'd rather wait until some of my other books are closer to getting finished.

Thank you all for understanding and being so patient. I'm glad you all like my works.

Well. One last chapter to go...

Let's ride it out together, shall we?

I hope you enjoyed this one, and have a wonderful (time of day)!
