Chapter 2: Hypnotized

Y/N P.O.V. Location: Dorm room.

(BD-1) - *plays song above.*

I awake with a start. BD always knew how to get me up. I'm personally just glad that we get our own dorms here at Yokai. Not only because my equipment requires some privacy, and I'm human. Which is kind of like being a Jedi outside of the Yokai realm, but worse, since I have fewer means of hiding in plain sight. I'm really playing with fire here. I walk out of my dorm room to splash some water on my face and get ready for the day. A lot of the other guys have trouble maintaining their human forms in their sleep, so just about everyone here's a different shape and size. I know better than to judge though. Some of the knights of the old and older orders alike were of different shape and species.

(???) - Hey, you know you're outta your human form, right?

(???2) - Huh? Oh, damn! Guess I transformed while I was tossing and turning last night. Hey you're outta yours too.

(???) - Huh?

The first guy reaches up to feel for his hair. Half of which is gone, because apparently the first one is half-zombie, or whatever else is green-skinned, and the second one is possibly part boar. One of them notices me and BD and calls to me.

(???) - Hey Argus!

(Y/N) - Yes?

(???) - How do you stay in your human form?

...Lie your ass off. It's one of the things you're good at.

(Y/N) - I find that different kinds of music help me through the night. Soft stuff to keep me relaxed at night, and the epic stuff to get me up. 

(???) - Huh.

(???2) - Maybe we should try that.

(Y/N) - You can try it if you want, but you can't borrow my player. He's got feelings too.

(???2) - That bot on your back?

(Y/N) - Yeah.

(???) - Where'd you get it?

(Y/N) - BD-1 was a present... from a... very, very close friend of mine.

(???2) - Cool. Think they could build me one?

(Y/N) - I doubt it. He's been dead for seven years.

(???) - Oh...

(???2) - Touchy subject?

(Y/N) - Very much so. Good day, Gentlemen, I have classes to prepare for.

(???) - Okay.

(???2) - See you 'round, Argus!

I can understand the secrecy behind this school. We're all creatures of habit. One fears another, and hates it, the other could be completely vice versa. Then again, that's why we try to make friends...

(???3) - Hey, check it out. It's her.

(???4) - Oh yeah... that new student: Moka.

(???5) - She's so hot it should be illegal!

And she's just walking down the road, humming to herself. What a bunch of perverts, talking about her in such a vulgar manner. I know they weren't trained to be professionals, but they could at least ACT like professionals. She notices me, and calls out.
