Returning... Kirby Fanfic (OLD)

~Part 19~

~Galacta's POV~

"Wait... What happened?" I ask again, and Star resists the urge from slapping me, I can tell. "Galacta, I told you a hundred times. He remembered something and just passed out." she says impatiently.

"Oh." I slouch, and Kirby asks, "Poya, what were you doing?" "I was in the library reading... something... and then asked a couple questions before he ended up like this." "And the questions weren't personal?" I ask, "No. But something I read must've increased his panicking..." 

Kirby thought for a second, "What were you reading, poyo?" "This." Star reluctantly handed us a book, and she pointed at a particular paragraph.

"Poya! That is scary..." Kirby shivered, and I snort, "Not for us. After experiencing people die in front of you, you are fine with all this..." 

"Does Meta Knight ever become... wary, when vampires are mentioned?" Star asks, "Yes... he just warps. But we didn't think that something was up..." I respond and practically bury the book in my mask as I feel her glaring at me with disbelief. 

"Meta Knight has bat wings." Kirby says absent-mindedly, peering over at Meta Knight, who is still knocked out and on the sofa, since I couldn't be bothered to warp him anywhere else. Shows how caring I am. Very.

"That true. I haven't ever seen anyone else from our kind with those types of wings. Usually it's just feathers or butterfly ones..." I look at Star, who has her face buried in her hands and is speaking to herself. It's muffled a lot, which means me and Kirby messed up. Whoops.

I hastily start thinking, "Uh... Meta Knight is a vampire?!" I freeze, and Star laughs, "Could you come out with anything more ludicrous?" "What?" Kirby asks. "A vampire bit meta Knight. So... half a vampire, I suppose. You're almost right." Star gives me an amused glance, "Not much difference." I snort.

"Actually, there is an immense difference. Half Vampires can resist blood thirst, and won't feed off you. But full vampires will do the opposite. So we're lucky we aren't dead. I think..." she pauses, "The paragraph mentioned something about this particular vampire... once he has marked/bitten his victim, he sometimes won't have time to feed off them, so because he can't fulfil the whole thing vampires are supposed to do... the next time he is around his victim, the victim will begin to feel an urge for blood thirst. But it starts off as regular thirst." she looks at Kirby, who is pale, "Meta Knight was saying to me he felt thirsty lots, poyo. I thought it was normal, so I just gave him water." 

"How long till sleepyhead wakes up then?" I question, "Depends on how much he panicked earlier-" "Hrm..." "Which will not matter now, he awake." I finish.

"Ayyyyyyy! Is Mety awake yet?!" Magolor bursts in, and notices Meta Knight, "I'll take that as a yes! Starla forced me to make something for him. I swear I did not poison it, because she supervised me the whole entire time. She will not let us be enemies, so blame her, not me. Bye!" he zooms out, leaving some tea and other stuff.

"Is he gone?" Meta Knight asks, groaning, "Yep. Poyo, do you feel better?" "No. I feel cold." 

Star stopped a giggle from escaping, "That's the result of this. Which is now not needed!" she removed an icicle from atop his head. "Why would you use that?" I asked, "This castle has no medical equipment at all. Let alone a simple cloth." she probably rolled her eyes.

"Anyway, how do you feel?" I ask Meta Knight, and he seems annoyed, "I am fine." "That's what you say all the time. I have known you for one hundred and fifty years, that excuse is very hard to persuade me." Star says, and Kirby nods, "Yeah, poyo." 

"AHHHHHHHH!" Magolor screams. "What is he doing now? I literally stopped him from trying to go into the basement!" Star huffs, walking towards the door, but I stop her, "Nope. You're staying. You're literally the only one here who knows anything about medical... stuff... so I'll go." "That is only because I bothered to." she says as I leave to find out what Magolor is doing.
