Lukes pov

The morning of the show. I always hate this part.

Don't get me wrong, I love performing for our fans but I barely ever get much sleep the night before and our managers always wake us up extremely early in the morning.

As expected, a loud knock on the studio door wakes me up from my short slumber.

"Coming!" I say, getting up from my couch and throwing on a shirt.

As I'm walking up to the doors, I grab my phone and check the time.

5am? That can't be right. They don't usually come until at least 6:30.

I grab the doors and pull them open. To my surprise, it isn't our managers on the other side of them.

"Brooke what the hell are you doing here? It's five am" I say. I am beyond pissed.

First she cheats on me and then she has the nerve to show up to my house (not that it's much of a house, or mine to be honest) at five freaking am and wake me up!

"I just wanted to apologise to you Lukey" she looks as if she's fighting back the urge to laugh.

"You have exactly five seconds to get out of here. Oh and never call me that again!" I try not to wake the guys up but it's no use.

"Fine! Have fun toying around with your little girl" she snickers.

"For the millionth time, she is not a little girl and I wouldn't even say we're friends, never mind anything more! Goodbye Brooke" I say, before slamming the door in her face.

"What's her problem" Reggie says. I give him a 'seriously?' face and he lays back down.

"There is no way I'm getting back to sleep" Alex says, with a pillow over his head.

"Yeah me neither man"

"What if we practice? Luke and I could use acoustics and Alex, you could use those makeshift drums you built in the loft" Reggie says.

That's probably the smartest thing that he's ever said.

"I'm down" I say. "Yeah, me too" Alex chimes in.

We soon set everything up and start our practice. Bobby isn't here but we can manage without him.

We start off with 'now or never', a sunset curve classic.

Everything is going fine until we get to our acapella part. All I can think about is Julie. Her curly hair, her chocolate brown eyes, the way her eyes light up at the dumbest things.

Luke, stop thinking about her. You do not like her! You cannot like her! There is no pos-

"LUKE!" I hear someone yell. It's not Alex or Reggie. It's not even Bobby. Shit, our manager.

"Finally he's back to reality" She speaks up again.

"You didn't come back in with your guitar and you completely forgot to carry on with the vocals" Alex says.

"Sorry guys. I'm just so pumped for the show tonight! Maybe a little to pumped, I got distracted by it" I lie.

"Don't let it happen on stage" our second manager says
