Chapter 11

Lukes pov

Julie, Alex, Reggie and I are playing dodgeball with one of the classes in Julies school.

It's one of the boys PE classes so Julie is the only girl. She doesn't seem to mind though.

First I hit Reggie, then Alex and soon after, multiple boys on their team. I protect Julie from any flying balls that I can.

Eventually it's just Julie and I playing against this blonde guy from the other team. I think someone said his name is Nick or something?

Julie throws a ball at him and he catches it.

"Sorry Molina" he says.

It's just me and this guy. As I'm standing opposite him, I look over in Julie's direction and she's looking at him with heart eyes.

Something in the back of my mind tells me to throw a ball at him, right then.

I throw the ball at him and he tries to run away from it but trips over his feet.

Surely enough, the ball hits him and he's on the floor holding his ankle.

"Nick are you okay!" Julie says, rushing over to him.

A hint of jealousy creeps up me. I shake it off. After all, Julies just my friend.

I walk over to him and hold out a hand to help him up.

"Sorry man" I say. "It wasn't your fault, don't worry about it" He says.

He takes my hand and I help him up. A couple of his friends come over and help him to the bench.

"I think that's enough dodgeball for everyone for today" says Coach Barron. "Thanks for joining us boys, Julie. I hope to see you some time soon"

"Yeah us too" Alex says.

We walk out of the gym and follow Julie to her locker.

"You guys should go before the bell rings for next period" she says in a slightly annoyed tone.

"Jules you seriously can't be mad at me for that. He tripped over his own feet!" I say.

"Who says I'm mad at you!" She snaps.

"Your tone"

"Whatever" she says, slamming her locker and walking off.

"Who crawled up her ass" Reggie says.

"Let's just go" I say.

"But I wanna see Flynn" Reggie pouts.

"Well I'm going!" I say, storming off.

Alex and Reggie chase after me until we get to my car.

We all get in and stay silent for the whole ride home.

We get back to the garage and see that Bobby isn't here. He was unwell earlier so he stayed behind.

"I'm gonna check on Bobby" Alex says, breaking the silence.

He walks out the garage and that leaves Reggie and I.

I pick up my guitar and start strumming some chords.

Julies pov

I storm off from my locker, leaving the guys there.

I have no idea why I got so mad, I just did. I guess part of me still has some sort of feelings for Nick.

As the bell goes, I rush to my next class to catch up with Flynn.

"Hey Flynn"

"Where are the guys? I wanted to talk to Reggie" she says.
