Chapter 13

Julies pov

7:30am

Ever so suddenly, I get woken up by the dreaded sound of my alarm.

I slip out of bed and realise that I have school today.

Then it hits me. I have to see Nick.

The last thing I want to do is face him today . After last night, I wish I never had to see him again.

I get ready for school, putting on a baggy hoodie and some black leggings.

I don't usually wear makeup but I put it on today, to cover my eye bags.

I pull my hair back into a low, side-pony and pull my hood over my head.

I pick up my phone and see a couple of messages from Luke.

Luke :)
Morning Jules!

Be ready in 10, we're picking
you up.

Flynn too!

Okay. I'll see you then.

I grab my bag and a banana from the fruit bowl and head outside.

Soon enough, a sports car (with the roof down) pulls up at the front of my house with the guys and Flynn sitting in it.

Luke is sat in the drivers seat, Reggie behind him, Flynn in the middle and Alex on the other side.

I run over and sit in the front, next to Luke.

"Hey Jules" Flynn says.

"Hey! Where's Bobby?" I say.

"Oh he's ill. That's why he couldn't come to the tour yesterday either" Alex says.

"Oo Julie! Do you want a pair of sunglasses? Then you can be matching with the rest of us!" Says Reggie.

"Of course Reg, thanks" I say, taking the glasses from his hand.

We drive all the way to school whilst blasting a sunset curve and one direction playlist on shuffle.

When we pull up to the school, there are more squeals and pictures oh and I can't forget the fan girling.

Flynn puts her arm around Reggie's back. I think she wants all the crazy fan girls to know to stay away from him.

Reggie puts his arm around her shoulder in response.

We all get out of the car and walk into school, pushing past the crowd.

Luke and Alex have lockers by me and Reggie has a locker by Flynn.

Lukes pov

When we get to our lockers, I saw someone walking down the hall.

"Hey Molina, your ass is looking hot in those leggings" Nick calls out from the end of the hallway.

I look at Julie and she looks extremely uncomfortable.

Nick walks over and puts his arm around Julie.

She starts to tense up. She looks scared.

"Julie. Could you show me and Alex where our first lesson is?" I need to get her away from Nick.

"Yeah sure" she says.

I turn around to start walking but am stopped by a bang.

I turn around and see that Nick has Julie pinned against a locker and is harshly trying to kiss her.

She's trying to squirm out of his grasp, but he's apparently too strong.

"Leave her alone!" I say.

A small crowd starts gathering around us.

He stops trying to make out with Julie and turns to face me, still holding onto her.

"Oh yeah? And what if I don't?" Nick smirks.

He tightens his grip around her waist.

I can't take this anymore. No girl should be treated like this.

I walk over to him and punch him in the face.

As soon as I do, he runs away. His little friends run after him.

"Thanks you" Julie whispers as she runs over into my arms.

I wrap my arms around her and she nuzzles her head into my chest.

The teachers have synced our timetables up with Julies and Flynn's so we meet up with Flynn and Reggie and walk to class.

We sit through our first few classes, getting the usual picture and autograph requests.

When we get to our third class, Julie breaks off from the rest of us.

"Where are you going?" Reggie says.

"Oh um, I'm not in the music program anymore" she says.

"Why? you're an amazing singer!" Alex asks.

"Ask Luke and Flynn" she says, walking away.

"Luke, Flynn. Why?!" He says.

We explain everything to them as we walk to music.

We were sat in music whilst the rest of the class were giving performances and then it hit me.

A way to get Julie back in the music program!

I try to get through the lesson normally but sometimes the excitement takes over me. Sometimes I let out a small smile, earning weird looks from my friends.

When music is finally over, we walk to the lunch hall, meeting Julie there.

"Hey Jules! Can I have a quick word?" I say, waving her over.

"Sure, what's up?" She asks, walking over to me.

I pull her to the side and start talking.

"I was wondering if you, um, maybe wanted to join sunset curve? Or at least just for a show. To show this school just how talented you are! I haven't talked to the guys yet but I'm sure they'll be cool with it"

"Luke...." she starts. "I don't know. I mean thank you so much but I don't know whether I'm ready for that yet. I'll definitely give it a think"

"Okay yeah that sounds cool" I say, trying to hide my disappointment.

We sit down and eat lunch with the rest of our friends.

Julies pov

The whole time we're all eating lunch, I can't concentrate.

I've just been invited to join sunset curve for a show! I should be ecstatic but jamming to sunset curve was my Mom and I's thing. It was hard to do anything like this without her.

When lunch was over, we all walked to dance.

The boys were joining us this week as we are all teaming up to write and song and create a dance to it.

The girls were sat on one side of the room and the boys were sat in the other.

"Okay class. Partner up!" Says our dance teacher.

As I look to my left, I see Nick jogging towards me...
