Jane's surprise at seeing her father and his wife in front of her after a couple of months of not seeing him was short-lived as she quickly realized they were heading straight at her. Before she could think of much, they were stopping right in front of her. There were too many things to take in at once.

Diana looked a lot more pleased to see Jane than she had seemed when she had first seen her, the polite smile that had once been on her lips no longer just that, but actually appearing pleased. There was a warmth in her dark eyes Jane was certain hadn't been there when she had last seen her. She had to remind herself Blaise was standing next to her to look away.

Blaise hadn't changed at all since she had last seen him, the warmth he regarded her with the same as it had always been, a wide smile on his lips that made her unable to not return it. Before she could even realise it, she was smiling back at him, expression softening.

"Hi," she greeted, her gaze staying glued on Blaise as he came to a stop in front of her. The man reached forward, almost as if he was going to pull her to him before he hesitated, let his hand fall back to his side. Jane didn't notice. Albus and Diana did, though.

"Hello," Blaise greeted, momentarily ignoring Diana's attention on him as she took him in. "How have you been?"

"Fine," she breathed, "I'm studying, trying my best." She turned to Diana abruptly and at once, the woman turned to face her. "Thank you for the apple pie, it was delicious."

"It really was," Albus piped in before Diana could reply. Almost at once, she looked at him, expression curious and under the spotlight, the boy flushed slightly. Jane rushed to his aid.

"I shared it with my friends sometimes, we all loved it," she explained. Diana nodded with a small smile. "I forgot to introduce you. This is Albus."

"We've seen him before," Blaise admitted, his eyes remaining on Albus for a while before he turned his attention back to her. "Are you alone?"

"Scorpius, Ramona and Louis are in the shop," she explained, completely missing the small sound of relief that escaped Blaise's lips. Diana, though, in tune with her husband in practically everything, didn't miss it. She had to resist smiling at the sound.

"Antonio mentioned today is the day of the Hosgmeade trip so we thought we should come, pay a short visit to both of you since we were lucky enough to not work today," Blaise explained, "we haven't seen him yet."

"That makes sense," she assured him, "Antonio has been working hard. He's been studying and tending to his Prefect duties. The first Quidditch match of the season is soon so he's rather busy with that too."

"He did mention that," Blaise nodded, "we didn't tell him we'd be here, it's a surprise."

"I hope we don't embarrass him much," Diana murmured, bringing Albus to laugh as she sent a pointed look to her husband who only frowned in return.

"Why would we embarrass him?"

"No reason, love. We'll talk later."

Blaise sent his wife a look before Jane cleared her throat, bringing all attention to her. "I've been wondering...You see I can't have a copy of a newspaper and I've been thinking of the press. I didn't know how to tell you in a letter." Blaise's gaze softened as Jane's eyes fell to the ground. "How is the situation going?"

"They've backed off," he replied softly, "they found someone else to bother. They are no longer writing anything about our family."

Jane let out a soft breath, "I'm glad."

"You shouldn't worry about such things, Jane," Diana spoke up, the sound of her voice bringing the girl to look up at once. "That's a matter Blaise and I are handling. Thinking about it when there's nothing you can do is only going to cause you uneccessary worry."
