How long had he been flying looking for you? Daylight had faded out into the beautiful night sky, Keigo only wished he could be sharing it with you on the couch watching a good movie but, no, Dabi had taken you from him. The vibrating from his pocket peaked his interest for a moment, quickly pulling his phone out to answer without even looking at who it was calling.
"What is it?" He asked quite annoyed that his search was being interrupted.
"It's Rumi, got any leads from up there?" She questioned, worry clearly laced her voice, she could hear him sigh down the phone.
"No, I've got nothing, you?"
"Nothing, I've searched as far as I can but there's been no sightings of either of them"
"Fuck!" Keigo shouted into the wind, letting it run through his hair as he slowed down and yawned, he had been up for longer than 24 hours and hadn't eaten since you were taken.
"Kei, come home for a bit, you need to rest and eat something" Rumi mentioned, she knew he hadn't stopped for a single moment.
"I'll come grab something to take with me but I'm not stopping, I have to find her Rumi!" He spoke as he turned towards his apartment. He didn't want to stop, not for a second until he got some wind of where you were.
"I'll meet you there and get something ready for you" With that she hung up on him. Still scanning the ground for any sign as he was heading back was just as painful as this whole day of searching.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Rumi had just arrived at Keigo's apartment, she wasted no time as she started to make something for him that he had to sit down and eat, even if she had to tie his wings down, he needed to rest. He was no good to Y/N if he was exhausted and he certainly wouldn't be in a position to fight anyone.
She washed her hands and quickly pulled out bits from the fridge, lucky for her a shop must have been done recently, she pulled out some chicken and veggies, putting them on the side before getting out some rice, the rice cooker, a fryer and steamer from the cupboards. Getting the rice going so it would be ready in time for when he arrived back.
"Y/N I hope your okay" She spoke to herself as he prepped a coating for the chicken, making her own style of southern fried chicken strips. As she worked, the silence was deafening and eating at her. She remembered Keigo had a voice activated speaker.
Telling it to play some random music your favourite song came on. She focused on the lyrics as she coated the chicken and placed it in the fryer before cutting the veggies and steaming them.
Rumi thought about how to force Keigo to relax for a little bit, so she put his favourite cartoon on the TV, put a cup of water on the coffee table in front of the couch too. Just then the door to the balcony opened and he walked in. Rumi went over to him and brought him into a tight embrace before holding his shoulders, pushing him to the couch and forcing him to sit down.
"Rumi, I don't have ti-"
"Shut it, you think Y/N would want you to be over worked? Tired? Hungry? No she wouldn't, she would do the same thing I am right now! Your gonna eat this food I made and your going to have a nap then we'll get back to trying to find her, got it?" Her nose twitched slightly as she blurted out her argument, not letting him get a word in.
He sighed as he slumped into the softness of the couch, he hated it when she was right. He leant forwards, picked up the cup and took a long drink before placing the empty cup back and taking off his jacket. Rumi brought over a plate with rice, fried chicken strips and steamed vegetables for him to eat, placing it on the table in front of him with some cutlery.
"An hours nap then I'm going again" He said reluctantly, picking up the food and starting to eat. Rumi took the cup and refilled it, bringing it back to him and sitting next to him.
"4 hours" She bargained
"1 hour 30 minutes"
"3 hours"
"2 hours"
"2 hours is good" She smiled, knowing fully well that when he was this tired she wouldn't be waking him at all, you would want him to get a full nights sleep, be properly hydrated and to have eaten enough to keep him going till his next meal.
As he picked up the water for another long drink, Rumi quickly took his plate, put more on it and brought it back to him. Keigo glared at her.
"You haven't eaten all day, she would do the same" All he did was nod as he knew Rumi was right. You cared so much for him and he just wanted you to be okay, he didn't trust Dabi to keep you safe at all and if the League found out about your quirk it'd be dangerous.
"Thank you Rumi..." He ate quickly, not realising how hungry he actually was and how thirsty he was too. Rumi quickly checked her phone to see what the time was, 4:38 am and she yawned.
After Keigo had cleared his plate and drank 4 cups of water he quickly went to the bathroom before sitting back down on the couch, he yawned and lied back. His hair cascading down the back.
"2 hours" He mumbled, Rumi pretended to put a timer on her phone.
"2 hours" She replied but he was already asleep before she knew it, quickly putting a blanket over him to keep him warm, she turned the TV off and went to the spare bed to lie down.
Sleep came just as quickly to her as it did Keigo, she mentally reminded herself to do some breakfast that they could take with them on their search for you.
