Chapter 38

Celine had driven for a while in forest and down dirt tracks until she couldn't get past a huge wall of plant life. She slowed to a stop about half a mile from it, hearing the hand break go on, Celine slumped herself down before taking a deep breath and pushing her hair back.

"Right out, someone needs to go dump this thing somewhere and destroy it" She spoke with a slight hint of sorrow in her voice as she felt the leather of the steering wheel under her hand for the last time. Everyone looked at each other before Toga said she would dump it as she could drink someone's blood to get back to you.

"The more of us that go the more dangerous it is..." She sighed, getting out of the drivers seat and into the back to rummage around for things, pulling out backpacks and filling them with whatever she had.

"I'm not leaving Y/N now, not gonna happen" Keigo told her.

"Yeah same here, you'll need us to keep her safe" Dabi agreed, Celine opened all the doors and hopped out, bringing everything out with her and what looked like a rake with a broom attached, she started covering tracks that would be easily identified.

"Fine you two can come with us but you do as I say or you die, got it" She warned them, you'd seen Celine like this before but never this paranoid or angry. They looked amongst each other before reluctantly agreeing.

"Rumi and Toga will take the van somewhere and destroy it, then go back and pretend everything's fine, stay low, you won't hear from us until I call you on an untraceable number" The girls nodded once the van was empty of everything Celine wanted and a few of your bits that you defiantly needed, everything else was replaceable.

"Stay safe" was the last words Rumi and Toga spoke to them before they drove off, instructed to put one of the radioactive canisters in the centre of the cabin and use gasoline to make a trail to it so they could light a match and run like hell. Celine's head was low before taking a deep breath in and exhaling, lifting a few bags onto her back, both Keigo and Dabi had some too while you used a thick stick to keep yourself up, not wanting them to worry about you as well as luggage. Celine led you all to the wall of foliage before dropping the bags by a pretty lavender bush, she took the rake-brush hybrid as went to cover the tracks.

"Move the bush and you'll see three rocks, lift the right one up and push the button" She told you all when she came back, making sure there wouldn't be a trace of anyone there. The boys looked at each other before Dabi did as instructed, finding and pushing the little button that had been hidden, they heard something click. She put the tool into Keigo's hands and pushed on what looked like poison ivy, it revealed an entrance to a cave that had been concealed by all the plants.

"Move everything into here then we'll go" You went and stood inside while they all brought the bags through, she then reset the rock and bush before joining us, just as she got in the entrance the cave sealed itself back up and you were plunged into darkness, not even a small trace of light could be found. Dabi used his flames in his hands to light it up, seeing torches on the floor, he picked one up and lit it, passing it to you so you could see what was going on.

"Now what?" Keigo asked, as he picked up bags with his feathers, there wasn't a huge amount of room but it was enough for a car to go down in a tight squeeze.

"This way, just follow me and keep quiet" Celine told you as she led the way, taking a lit torch from Dabi as he got another one from the floor, you were right behind her and the boys were behind you with the feathers carrying the luggage behind them. It smelt damp in the cave and no light came through at all, there was only the light from the flames dancing on the walls.

You soon came to a clearing where Celine shot a glowing green flame from her hand up to the ceiling, lighting the whole clearing, you could see several paths ahead of you and a large body of water, Keigo and Dabi were confused at Celine's quirk as they had never asked about it, they assumed she was quirkless like when they first met you but you knew different.

"Down here" she said going to the left most pathway, it looked like it could fall apart at any moment. You followed her but the men of the group looked horrified.

"But-"

"I said this way" Celine quickly jumped in upon hearing one word from them, they started following again but had to go single file and crawl through the space to get to a slightly wider path. It felt like hours since you all left Rumi and Toga but soon you saw some daylight and a hut that had been handmade out of wood from the surrounding area, it was under the cover of the caves still but had flowing water from a waterfall that helped kept the place hidden, it looked like paradise.

She sighed going into the hut and flopping on an old bed in there, it was well furnished for being completely hand made, bar a few things. The room was completely open plan, 2 large queen sized beds that had been hand made apart from the mattresses and covers, the wooden bench looked sturdy, you went and sat beside her.

"Tired?" You asked as Dabi and Keigo put the bags to the side before watching the interaction between you both.

"Didn't expect to come back here" She admitted. "Made this when I first got to the country, had a mate but she got killed" She told you sitting up right again.

"You don't have to tell me" You smiled at her, she smiled back and stretched out her arms.

"Thanks, we can hide here for a bit but not for long, someone will find us thanks to the smoke the fires make to keep the animals away" It wasn't a bad call for a first hideout though, at least we could be here for a little bit.

"So what's your quirk?" Keigo asked with his arms folded, Celine just glared at him.

"Kei-"

"No I wanna know too, what is it 'Jet'" Dabi quizzed too, his eyes were dark, Celine stood ready for a fight.

"Guys don't do this" You begged but its almost as if no one heard you.

"You don't want to know and you don't need to know, if I show you this place will be swarmed with bugs sooner than you think now back off" She grumbled, barging past them. They followed her out to the waters edge and kept annoying her, asking where she got radioactive things from and where those flames came from. You followed worried about what would happen.

"Guys, seriously stop it" You tried to warn them but it didn't work, Celine snapped.

"Fuck it, you wanna get caught then fine, THIS is my quirk!" She started "RADIOACTIVE FLAMES" She screamed, releasing a ridiculous amount of radioactivity towards the waterfall, setting it alight in those beautiful but deadly emerald green flames, they roared higher than all the trees and everything started decaying, a deer stood the other side of the water before it suddenly collapsed, it's body looked as if it were melting away.

The scene was horrifying, both Keigo and Dabi fell backwards from the sheer force of the radiation being released. You were scared for her safety, remembering what she had told you all those years ago that you met her about if she over used it what could happen, struggling against the power of the wind that came at you, pushing yourself past both the men who tried to stop you and failed, you got to her back and hugged her tightly, feeling your arms starting to burn already but it soon stopped as did the destruction. She turned rapidly to see your arms had red patches, she pulled you further into the water in horror and plunged your arms into the cold liquid, she hadn't taken notice that her own arms were badly burnt and that her clothes had started to flake away.

"Oh my god Y/N I'm so sorry, I never meant to hurt you, oh fuck what have I done!" You held her hands under the water and looked her in the eyes and smiled.

"It's okay as long as your okay" You told her gently, she pulled her arms out of the water and hugged you tightly, crying, she felt like the worst person in the world right now and that she should be killed for hurting you but you hugged her back carefully, releasing the caladrius wings from your back and letting them engulf the pair of you in a bright white light, you healed her as much as you could in your weaker state. Letting the warmth of the wings drop from around the pair of you, she couldn't believe how she got so lucky to find a friend like you.

"What. The. Actual. Fuck" Came a voice from the edge, you both looked to see Keigo and Dabi still on their asses on the floor, you and Celine both started laughing your heads off at them.
