Joe laughed, humourless and empty. It was the same laugh that they had heard hundreds -thousands- of times. But for the first time, they realized how fake it sounded.
"You are fine" Evan said, demanded. And Joe smiled. The same smile they had seen thousands, millions of times. The same smile that he had while spending time with them. The same smile that he had while posing for a photo. The same smile that he had when his mother was apologizing after throwing the kettle. The same smile that he had acompinied with a nod and "It's okay".
And, they realized, they didn't know their son.

Creo que esto sería parte de algún AU, ya que no hay forma que sea parte del universo original, pero no sabría donde ponerlo realmente.
