The sky was grey with rain pouring down onto the glass window. Fingers across the building were typing at rapid speeds. Computer screens were glowing around the room. "We discovered it!" a scientist yelled from across the room. "We found the signal. Radiation! It's here. It's in the sahara desert!" another scientist yelled as he jumped up in joy. Shiba was happy. After thirty years of working in the company and organization they found the material they were looking for. A long time ago, a meteor fell from the sky from across the galaxy. It landed right after the dinosaur era. It was trapped in the earth during earth's rebuilding process. The planet it's from is unknown but it always showed large radiation levels that were not found on earth. A type of radiation that would not harm humans or explode. This could be a new power source for humans. The scientist talked to the head boss about their discovery and set out to find it. Shiba was a talk man with glasses with messy dark brown hair and blue eyes. He studied and joined the organization known as organization V. As a child Shiba wasn't smart. He grew up in a bad neighborhood. He eventually lost his parents. He was on his own until he got new foster parents. Shiba understood that he needed to be strong and survive on his own. He needed to prove to his parents that he wasn't going to be useless. He would carry on their legacy in a good way. He would go to school and college. He then became a scientist and worked for companies to the point where he made it the big organization. A little bit of the military would join in on this material expedition.

Within a few days, a laser drill would be created and transported via helicopter. Multiple helicopters took the scientist and archeologist to the sahara desert. Five helicopters landed onto the ground. "Alright, squad one, you will take the locator and find the signal. The dig team will follow behind. Squad two, you will search the land and make sure no one else is around," the leader said loudly. Everyone nodded and moved on. A group of soldiers split into two. The first set was four men that went forward and explored further away into the desert hills. The other set went behind them and walked around. The men carried assault rifles. The archeologist team continued forward. Shiba was holding a tablet to detect the signal. It's 20 meters from here," Shiba said loudly to the group. The group moved throughout the desert. The tablet began to beep. The drill team moved past the scientist and placed the drill onto the sand. Another scientist came from behind and pressed a few buttons. After a few seconds a small purple laser shot out from the machine at the ground. The sand began to burn and melt. Thirty minutes had passed. "Where is the main support squad at?" Shiba says to the commander. The man pulled out a walkie talkie and spoke into it. "Hello, come in, anything going on," the man said sternly. The walkie talkie was silent. No response from anyone. "Support team come in!" the commander yelled. Nothing responded. The drill had made 40 meters into the earth. The tablet beeping had got louder. They were closer. Suddenly a group of figures stood upon the sand hill above them. The sun was beaming upon the group of scientists. "Who are they?'' one of the scientists said as he was looking up while covering his eyes. "Probably a group of desert natives," Shiba responded as he looked into the deep hole. More figures appeared behind the humanoids on the hill. They appeared to look like lions. "Are there supposed to be lions in the sahara?" one of the men asked. The remaining soldiers around pointed their guns at the figures on the hill. The figures began to slide down the hill. "What the!?" the men yelled. The figures were humanoid creatures with a body of a lion that was standing upright. The creatures began to run at the group. The soldiers began to fire at the creatures. The lions became more aggressive. One of the several lions jumped into the air and landed onto a scientist. With their claws, it slashed into the scientist's chest. Shiba backed up in confusion. The commander was confused as well. Suddenly his walkie talkie turned on. "Hello! Squad! We need you back here now!" the commander yelled as he was taking out his magnum pistol. The walkie talkie became full of static and then a noise rose from it. The sounds of munching and biting and tearing was heard for a few moments. A small growl was heard before the walkie talkie went out again. A few of the lions fell to the ground from being shot. Suddenly the same humanoid lions began crawling from the hole that the drill dug. The group were surrounded by twenty of these lions. A humanoid lion leaped onto Shiba. His body slammed to the ground before he could react. The lion bit into his arm. Blood bursted from his body. All the sand turned from orangish brown to red. Screams and growls was the only thing heard for miles. Shiba's pain tolerance had given out. His vision was going dark from the blood lost and this nervous system going haywire. He blacked out from the pain. The group of scientists were wiped out by the creatures. After a long while, shiba woke up. He felt nothing. His body was numb. His vision could barely see anything around him as if he was in a cave. The sounds of gowling filled the cave. The roars scared shiba. He placed his hands over his ears as he was freaking out. He then realised his hands were a bit bigger than normal. His skin wasn't there. His body was covered in fur and had a yellowish orange color. He felt a weird tickle at this neck where he had long brown hair tickling his neck. His smell was heightened. Shiba was confused. He thought he would have died after the attack. He saw all the humanoid lions around him. They weren't attacking him but where sitting on rocks like normal humans would. Shiba's hearing wasn't where it was but he could tell from the gesture that they were talking to each other. Shiba looked down at his legs and noticed his clothes were gone and his legs had fur. Shiba then realized he looked just like the others. He became a humanoid lion. A sunlion. He would live in that cave forever. Become friends with the lions and wait til the next set of humans would come again.
