(6 years later)
Kaga POV
Its been 6 years since I adopted my new son (Y/N). He's been old enough to be able to wear the mask that the commander gave to him all those years ago, and he's been able to go out and meet the other shipgirls at the base. He hasn't talked to anyone in public but he has in private with me, his aunt Akagi and the commander. Today, I've got a little surprise for him, but he'd be silent for quite along time when it happens.
*thunk* *thunk* *thunk* *thunk*
Me : Ah, that must be him now.
(Y/N) POV
Today I was very excited, mama said that she had a special surprise for me. Although I will have to be silent for along time, but I don't mind. I have been doing it for 6 years after all.
Kaga : Good morning my little one, did you have a good sleep.
Me : I did, what are you cooking?
Kaga : Oh just some breakfast for you, me and your aunt Akagi.
Me : Oh ok, thanks mama.
Kaga : No problem sweetie.
We sat down and ate our breakfast. Breakfast is one of my favourite meals of the day, especially the way that mom makes it.
Me : So mom, what was the surprise you were talking about yesterday, I'm really excited.
Kaga : Well you see (Y/N), I've made a deal between the commanders of here, the Sakura Empire, the commander of Ironblood, Akagi and me. The deal being that you would get an education at the Ironblood headquarters for a month, maybe you'll make some new friends.
Me : Really? That's awesome. Thanks mom
Kaga : Your welcome sweetie.
Me : When do we set off.
Kaga : We set off tomorrow evening so we should get you ready for tomorrow and your stuff packed up.
Me : Ok mom.
So I'm going to Ironblood for a month. To be honest I'm really excited to go, I was really interested in Ironblood since I heard about Bismarck and that they had barely, if any, aircraft carriers which confused me, why wouldn't a faction have any aircraft support. Because of these reasons I was ecstatic to know that I would have the chance to have answers for these questions that i wanted answered.
Me : I'll go get my things ready.
Kaga : Ok honey, be quick so we can get your stuff for your education there.
Me : Ok mom.
*The next day*
Today I'm going to Ironblood for the foreseeing month. I have all my things packed and I'm ready to go. We were meant to meet at the docks and mom was going to sail in here ship form.
Kaga : You ready to go sweetie.
Me : *Nods*
Zuikaku : We'll see you in a month.
Takao : Take care out there.
Atago : Be safe.
Me : *Thumbs up*
Commander : Well then (Y/N), have fun and be safe, we'll see you in a month.
Kaga : Lets get going now.
We then set off while waving to everyone at the dock, I'll miss them but I also know I won't be gone forever so there's no point in crying over something like this. So now we're going to the Ironblood HQ to get to know everyone at Ironblood.
Akagi : So my dear nephew, are you excited.
Me : Yes auntie, I'm really really really excited.
Akagi : I'm glad to hear that.
Me : So, do you know when we'll get there. I really want to know when we get there so I can get ready for when we get there.
Kaga : Well we'll be out at sea throughout the night so you'll probably need to sleep during the night. We should get there in the morning so you won't have to be awake throughout the whole journey.
Me : Oh, ok then.
And with that, I settled down to go to bed. All under the stars and the watchful gaze of my guardians.
*Timeskip*
Kaga POV
It's 10:30 PM so my little one, (Y/N), is sound asleep and may I add he looks adorable while doing it.
Akagi : So, what do you think?
Me : What do you mean sister?
Akagi : What do you think the future holds for him?
Me : Hopefully he's able to show everyone his face so he doesn't have to wear that mask his entire life and to never talk.
Akagi : I hope so too.
Me : What about you?
Akagi : About the same to be honest. Do you think he'll find someone?
Me : Hmm?
Akagi : Do you think that he'll find a girl out there? One that's caring, loyal and accepting. Perhaps he'll be able to a family of his own some day.
Me : Maybe.
Akagi : Do you think we should tell him about ~her~ one day?
Kaga : Her? Do you mean?
Akagi : Yes, do you think we should tell him about Amagi?
Me : Perhaps when he's older, when he's more understanding to what your talking about.
Akagi : Yeah, It would be better to wait, wouldn't it.
Silence fell upon us, the awkward tension slowly rising until Akagi once again broke it by speaking.
Akagi : Anyway, we should anchor down and get to sleep shouldn't we?
Me : Yeah, we should. How does before we leave Ironblood HQ, we venture around and see if there's anything there that tickles are fancy.
Akagi : Yes, that sounds like a plan.
Me : Ok then, lets anchor down and go to bed.
