Chapter 7: Hakoona matata: it means no worries

"So where are we going," I asked for the hundredth time

"Can you please shut up Essie," Evan said.

"My name is Jessie not essie for God's sake. How many times do I have to tell you I hate that name,"I said. Jason used to call me that when he was a child. He was about two years old that time and couldn't pronounced the "j" sound.

"Hmmm,"Evan said and continued driving.

We had been driving for an hour .We just stopped by  a shop and bought some snacks.

"I don't know if you are going to kill me and then throw my body in the bush," I said.

Evan let out an evil laugh.

"That's exactly what we are going to do if you will not shut up your big mouth,"Evan said.

I started panicking .Even though, I knew he was just kidding. What if he was telling the truth. Since Nate almost punched me. I was sure his friends could kill me . Maybe the three of them had a plan to get rid of me so that I would not spoil their reputation.

"Hey are you okay? "Rivers asked putting his hand on my shoulders

"Nope am thinking of a way to escape if you guys are going to kill me," I said.

"You are still a child Essie, " Evan said .

" I couldn't be surprise since Nate almost punch me,"I murmured .

"What!!," both of them said together.

"Nothing,"I said.

"You know you have a lot of explanation to do right, "Evan said.

"Okay. And you too have a lot to do if you don't know," I replied

We drive for another 30 minutes before Evan said, "we are almost there Essie close your eyes."

"Why will I?I don't know if you are......." I stared saying .

"Just shut up and obey Jessie,"Rivers said handing me a scarf.

"Yes daddy."I said and tied the scarf in my eyes.

He drove for another few minutes then parked the car. He told me to come out. I did as I was told. I heard someone opening the boot then closing it. Maybe to take the snacks we bought. Rivers held my hand since my eyes were closed and led me to where ever we were going.

After some minutes I heard Evan saying we are here. "You can open your eyes now Jessie."

Rivers helped me to open my eyes and what I saw left my mouth hung open.

"Oh my God Evan, Rivers, I love you so much,"I said giving them a tight hug.

Rivers blushed little . Evan pinched my cheek and said, "we know"

"I missed this place so much . And you guys too. But I missed the place much more than I missed you guys," I said.

"Whatever" Evan said. "Now let's climb that mountain.,"he added.

We were in my most beloved place in the whole state. We used to come here with my dad and James when we were young every weekend to have a picnic. Then I showed my friends the place and we used to come once in a while with them.

After climbing the mountain you will see the most beautiful place on earth. There was a small lake and a garden with flowers everywhere. It was like that beautiful place in lion king. You Feel calm when you see the flowers and the lake. You will forget about all your worries .That was why me and my friends named it hakoona Matata.
