"Am sorry Jessie but there are no pictures," Rivers said.
"Of course they are pictures, we took pictures everywhere we went,"I said hopefully.
"There are no pictures at all," Evan said. I couldn't wait to tell them about my newest idea yesterday , I called them at 2am and told them to make sure they are in our house the next day by 12. Immediately I heard knocking in our front door some hours ago , I ran, opened the door and started shouting," pictures! pictures ! We all forgot about that,". So now imagine my reaction when they said they are no pictures.
"What?why ?how?what on earth?" I exclaimed. When I calmed down I said" where are all the pictures we took,"
"Its in the scrapbook," Evan answered.
"Which scrapbook," I asked. I lost mine last two years. That was the first thing I thought about when Mr brown told me about Nate. If only I wasn't so careless Nate could have remembered me two months ago. When I understood there was no way to have that scrapbook back, I started looking for other options such as our favorite songs and movies. I had completely forgotten that even though there was no scrapbook they maybe some pictures.
"Nate's scrapbook,". Evan said. I was going to say he gave it to me but Rivers saw my confused look and answered my unsaid question.
" He has a copy too. He made two. One for himself and one for you"
" Oh, then where is the scrapbook," I asked.
"We looked everywhere for it but couldn't find it. We think Mr brown hid it somewhere," They said.
"There is a scrapbook under Nate's bed," Cassie contributed. Unfortunately we had already checked that out and found out it wasn't our scrap book but Nate's and Nicole's.
"But why would he?" I asked suspicious. They shook their head showing they didn't know.
"Jessie where is yours," Evan asked.
I covered my face with my hands in shame and disappointment. If only I knew this kind of thing would happen I could have ran back into the plane and taken the scrapbook.
"I left it in the plane when I arrived at California," I told them. If everything was normal and Nate got to know that I didn't even take the book to California, I would be in deep trouble.
Flash Back( Continuation from chapter 15)
"You can count on me cause I can on you " the song ended with the most recent picture of two of us. Immediately the song ended I ran to him. Everyone was clapping loudly, I even heard some people sniffing and saying " awwn it's so cute". I ran to him hugged him and gave him a big kiss on his lips.
My first kiss.
The five of us hanged out more at the mall then decided to go home. We hanged out more at home then mom told us it was time to get already. I went up to get my boxes , when I came back down with everything ready the only ones there were Alicia, Jason, James, Evan, Rivers, mom and dad.
"Where's Nate?" I asked them.
"He said he has some things to do but asked us to give you this," Rivers said handing me a wrapped box. I felt really bad that he wouldn't take me to the airport but I brushed it off. The boys, Alicia, mom and dad took me to the airport. After a lot of tears, hugs and kisses, I finally boarded the flight. I entered the plane and took my seat by the window side. Just as I was looking at the view and thinking of how I would miss the place I heard the pilot voice," My name is Henry Holland and I will be you pilot for today with my co pilot blah blah blah blah make sure you fasten you seat belt......" I muted down the rest. Just then I remembered my gift. I quickly stood up to take it from my hand luggage, the air hostess told me that I should sit down and put my seatbelt because the plane was about to take off but I ignored her. With nervous steps I took the wrapped box and went back to my seat. Then with shaky fingers I tore off the wrapping paper. I set my eyes on the most beautiful book I had ever seen. It was a medium sided pink and blue book. My name and Nate's was written on top and underneath was best friends forever. I started opening the pages nervously with tears in my eyes. The first page has our first picture on it. It was the first day in kindergarten when we first met each other. I was wearing a cute blue dress while he was wearing blue shirt and shorts. The picture looked so cute even though we were both frowning. I think we had a fight or something like that. Underneath the picture in his very rough handwriting was the day I met the best girl and the second best female in my life. The next page was a picture similar to that and writing. Each page had a picture of us and underneath the picture was a little note about when the picture was taken and things like that. Before I reached the end my eyes were so red from tears. Just then something fell down, I noticed it was a piece of folded paper , I picked it up and unfolded it.
