Sasuke woke with a burning urge to throw up. He made it halfway to the bathroom before he did.
The walk down the stairs in the morning was a struggle. Sasuke's stomach was all over the place, his head was hurting, his feet acted funny and he was shaking with cold. Why the hell had he decided to go downstairs?
Sasuke held onto the railing with both hands and it was still a miracle he made it down without falling. He quickly stumbled into the bathroom, hoping that (y/n) wasn't here yet.
He retched painfully into the toilet, silently wishing (y/n) was there. He quickly shook that thought as another retch ripped through him and he jutted into the toilet.
(Y/n)'a POV:
I knocked firmly on Sasuke's door, getting a little frustrated when he didn't open it. After a few minutes of knocking, I carefully picked the lock and entered the lone Uchiha' house.
It was completely silent in the house, which made it very easy to detect the muffled retches echoing from the bathroom. I quickly hurried over to the closed door and nudged it open.
I sighed sympathetically when I saw the poor Uchiha bent over the toilet. I sat down next to him and gently rubbed his back. He jumped slightly at my sudden touch but relaxed once he saw it was me. He wasn't able to relax for long though, as another retch caused a flow of bile to escape Sasuke's mouth.
I continued rubbing his back until the vomiting spell was over, then gently helped the poor boy to the couch, not thinking he could make it back upstairs to his bedroom. I carefully set him on the couch and then draped a thin blanket across the sick boy.
Once I was sure he'd be comfortable, I speed-walked back to the bathroom and grabbed a sick bin, and a cold towel. Next, I ran to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. After I got all my supplies, I headed back to my sick friend.
I put the cold cloth on his forehead and set the glass of water and sick bucket on the coffee table. I knew he wasn't gonna want to eat right now, but he needed something in his stomach. Plus it would hurt if he tried to throw up again on an empty stomach.
Once I was sure the Youngest Uchiha was asleep, I walked into the kitchen and began quietly making breakfast for the two of us.
~~Time Skip~~
Sasuke's POV:
The smell of breakfast clashed horribly with his upset stomach and it took all of his gathered willpower to keep from rushing for the bathroom once again. His will power wasn't enough however and was quickly running to the toilet to throw up again.
(Y/n)'s POV:
I headed downstairs to find Sasuke missing. He wasn't in the living room and he wasn't in the kitchen. I checked the back patio; he wasn't there either. I didn't remember seeing him go to his room. I went back inside and heard some grunting and coughing. In the bathroom just past the bottom of the stairs, Sasuke was kneeling on the floor, head over the toilet.
I once again knelt down next to the puking boy and gently rubbed his back. I was a little confused as to why he didn't just use the bucket I set out, but I brushed it off as he didn't see it. Sasuke continued to heave a few more times before he gave up, realizing he had nothing left to bring up.
He flushed the toilet and dragged himself back to the couch, falling heavily down onto it and throwing an arm over his eyes. I gently brushed his bangs from his forehead and placed the abandoned cold rag back on his feverish skin.
I walked to the kitchen and pulled the toast out of the toaster so it wouldn't burn and setting it on a plate. I quickly ate my piece and then brought Sasuke his piece, unbuttered so it wouldn't upset his stomach again.
I could tell he was still awake by the ragged breathing coming from under his arm, that still lay draped across his face. I gently nudged him and then gestured to the plate when he moved his arm to look at me.
He shook his head, not thinking he'd be able to keep it down with his still raging stomach. I gave him a pleading look, telling him it would be better to have something in his stomach if he threw up again.
He hesistantly nodded and grabbed the piece of bread, taking a small nibbled off the corner. When it didnt come up right away he took another small bite, this one however didn't stay down. Sasuke was quickly scrambling for the bin I left on the coffee table and retching harshly into it. I pulled his hair out of the way and gently rubbed his back, grabbing the wet cloth to dab the back of his sweaty neck.
Once the few bites of toast reappered along with a few mouthfuls of bile, Sasuke leaned back certain he was done for now. I quickly went and emptied the bin and then returned to the sick boy's side. I placed the cold cloth on his forehead and the thin blanket over his shaking body.
When I turned to leave, he reached out for me and I quickly turned around and sat back on the couch; moving his head and sitting beneath him, then placing his head back in my lap. I began raking my fingers across his scalp while I played with his hair. I smiled when I heard the soft sigh of relief that left this lips.
We laid like that for a few hours, getting up once in a while when Sasuke's stomach decided to get violent. I stayed here with him for a few more days until he got better, and then we both returned to training, me having to deal with a jealous Sakura asking where we both were constantly.
