The Avengers were out on a mission for a few days so I invited some friends over to keep me comfortable. I invited my friends from my other world Kai, Yami, and Kana. Kai and Yami were dragonoids like me, but Kana was something else entirely we found her in this world and brought her back to ours to help her learn how to manipulate her powers, without harming herself or others.

Our favourite "chill time adventure" was grabbing out our glass beauties and lighting them up, not stopping until we hotboxed the whole area. So as soon as my friends settled in, we pulled out 2 bongs, packed them and filled them with water then grabbed a torch to finally get to the best part.

I opened all the windows in the living area so I'd be able to get rid of the smell before the Avengers returned. Once I took a few hits, puffing out the smoke as though I were a dragon breathing fire. (A/n: hehe see what I did there) I passed the piece along to Yami and let her chief on it for a bit. We continued to chill and continue to rotation for a while until I felt a presence in the entry of the living area.

Loki has come out some time during our little 'hang out' he didn't say anything and just walked over to the couch I was sitting on and laid down. I didn't question him and just let him place his head in my lap and curl up into the cushions. I gave him a look as to ask if something was wrong and he just carefully shook his head.

He's my best friend and crush, so I could easily tell he was feeling a lot worse than he would admit. He was as pale as a sheet and I could feel the heat from his forehead burning my skin through my clothes. He was shaking in a cold flash and scrunching his face up in pain. He obviously had a high fever as well as a pretty bad headache.

I cast a quick spell on the room directing all the smoke towards the open windows and creating a little bubble around Loki so the smell wouldn't make him feel worse.

I placed my hand on his head and began to gently rake my hands through his long black locks. As I did this, I leaned to the side of the couch to take a quick hit, noticing a few seconds ago it was my turn in the rotation again. Pulling the piece out, I inhaled the smoke into my lungs before exhaling it all back out in a thick Smokey cloud.

I took a few more before passing it to my friend Kai who was on one of the many other chairs in the room. I noticed Loki shifting around a lot and clutching his stomach, and it began to worry me.

I quickly took a mental note of the heat radiating off Loki as well as his extremely pale, but flushed face. I got even more worried when he began letting out soft, pained groans, and occasionally a gag or belch.

I needed to talk to Loki, but I knew he didn't want everyone to know he was sick so I opted for telepathy. "Hey hun, you doing okay? You seem really sick." I heard a soft whine then came his telepathic reply.

"I think I gonna be sick..." he said timidly. Once I heard this my eyes widened a fraction. I needed to get him out of here and to the bathroom without my friends suspecting he's sick.

"Hey y'all, I need to talk to Loki real quick about something private. We'll be back in a minute." And with that, I opened a shadow portal under us and swiftly brought us to the bathroom.

I closed my bedroom door and placed a soundproofing spell on it, I then headed back toward Loki who sat miserably hunched over the toilet, waiting to finally puke.

I grabbed his hair and quickly tied it back into a loose ponytail. I then started running circles on his tensed back trying to get him to calm down, even if only for a minute.

Loki was only able to relax for a moment before, he started gagging again, this time, his stomach had a vengeance to it. I held him steady whilst still rubbing his back as Loki began to retch harshly into the porcelain bowl. Since he hadn't eaten much today, all that came up was some bile and some water. But even though he was empty, his stomach was set on finding something to heave up.

My medical skills told me that I needed to calm Loki down in order to get his body to stop trying to be sick. But my maternal instincts were telling me that no matter how calm Loki is he's still going to retch and gag even though he was empty.

All I could really do for him right now let him know that I'm there for him, comforting him and protecting him while he's in such a state. I gently grabbed his shoulders and guide his head from the porcelain bowl, and onto my shoulder. Loki protested as he continued to heave not wanting to throw up on his best friend, but his body insistent that it still had something left to get up. I held his head in place and told him to relax.

Being hunched over a toilet with your face buried in the bowl is not the most pleasant experience, and starring at your regurgitated stomach contents certainly didn't help settle his violently upset stomach.

Loki belched wetly one more time before he was reduced to painful dry heaves. I quickly filled a glass with water and handed it to him so he could rinse the vial taste from his mouth. Once he spit it out into the muddied toilet water I helped him slowly take a few small sips of the water. He needed to stay hydrated so he didn't get sicker, but I also don't want to send Loki into another vomit frenzie.

Once Loki's nausea temporarily subsided, I delicately scooped his tired body up off the tiled floor and placed him in my bed. His room was all the way down the hall and this way I could keep a constant eye on his condition.

Once I set Loki down, I went back to the bathroom to flush the toilet and clean the little bit of sick that he missed getting in the porcelain off the floor and sides of the bowl. After it was all clean, I headed to the cabinet and grabbed my sick bucket from inside. I often had to deal with drunk or sick Avengers so I always kept one handy.

I placed the bucket on the counter top next to Loki's glass of water and a face cloth I grabbed earlier. I turned on the tap and ran the cloth under the cold water, then put a spell on it to stay that temperature. I gathered my items and walked back to Loki.

I placed the water glass and sick bin on the bedside table and placed the cold rag on Loki's steaming forehead. He leaned into my hand and flickered his blue-green eyes open. "Hey Hun, so clearly you aren't feeling fine huh?" All I got in response was an annoyed huff. "It's okay that you want to be strong and pretend to always be okay, but Loki, sometimes it's okay not to be okay, it's okay to be vulnerable and it's okay to experience sickness." I gave him a sympathetic look and brushed a stray hair from his face.

"But next time you need to tell me so you don't end up suddenly passing out in the bathroom after I had to rapidly teleport you to the toilet so you could forcefully heave up everything in your stomach and without any heads up."

"I promise I will if there is a next time, and I'm sorry for making you so anxious about my well being." He said, his voice raspy and worn from all the vomiting he did only minutes before.

"Ok, well there is a glass of water and a sick bucket on the bed side table and I put an enchanted cloth on your head to help with the fever. Try and get some more rest, I'll be sitting right here. I promise I won't leave you. Call if you need anything at all" And after hearing my sincere words, Loki let his eyes slump shut and his consciousness drift off into a fevered dreamland.
