A/n: After a long time of requesting it I finally spun it on my wheel so I hope you enjoy it! Oh, and you're a reaper in this and you work with Will and Grell.
(Y/n)'s POV:
I had noticed the past few hours that my boyfriend had been getting more and more sloppy, almost as though all his energy was draining out, and I'm pretty sure Grell noticed it too. We both made an unspoken agreement to keep an eye on him as we continued working, knowing there was no way Will would let sickness stop him, he'd complain about the overtime forever if you even brought up the idea.
I could tell no matter how okay he was trying to act, it wasn't gonna last long. He had a thick sheen of sweat coating his entire body, his usually bright green eyes had dulled; looking sickly, glazed over and unfocused. His skin was pale as a sheet yet his cheeks held a bright red flush telling me he definitely had a fever. We only had 3 more souls to collect then we could all go home for the night, I was just hoping Will could hold out that long.
He thankfully did. We dropped Grell off and were halfway done with our walk back to our shared house when William finally snapped. I watched him clutch his stomach in pain feet planted in place. He bent in half around his arms that were wrapped around his waist, a loud retch leaving his throat. I quickly steered him off the street and into an alley so we'd have some privacy and he didn't have to throw up in front of the few night dwellers that were still out.
He managed to take about 4 steps into the alleyway before his knees buckled and he was sent crashing to the hard pavement. The force from the impact sent his already extremely fragile stomach over the edge finally and he scrambled to plant his hands as a violent retch cause him to double over onto the ground.
I rubbed soothing circles across my boyfriends back as he brought wave after wave of sick onto the ground, forming a small puddle between his hands, narrowly avoiding soiling his suit sleeves. He puked about 3 more times before spitting the excess into the puddle and shakily shoved himself back up onto his knees. I continue rubbing his back, handing him a tissue I had in my pocket.
William cleaned his lips and face then added the tissue to the rest of the sick. I slowly helped him to his feet, wrapping an arm around his waist when I saw how close his knees were to buckling again. I carefully half dragged him the rest of the way to our house, unlocking the door and switching to carrying him up the stairs.
I gently set him down on our bed, tenderly pulling off his shoes, glasses and suit until he was left in his undershirt and boxers. I pulled the thin sheet up to his chin before running to the bathroom quickly to grab a sick bucket and a cold washcloth for his fever. I set the washcloth on his overheating skin and place the sick bin on the table next to Will so he had full access to it. I also drop the water bottle I swiped from the kitchen on the table next to the bin and glasses.
Once I had all the supplies I needed in the room and ready, I carefully lift up the sheet and crawl into bed next to him. I place a gentle hand on his still upset stomach and begin rubbing slow, soothing circles across the sickly organ. He seemed to find some comfort in the feeling as his eyes slipped closed and his face semi-relaxed. I continued rubbing his stomach long after he drifted off into unconsciousness.
The next time he woke, let just say I was happy I grabbed that sick bin.
He shot up, hand clamped over his mouth and scrambled from the bucket. Once he got a hold on it, he shoved it under his chin just in time for the first wave of sick to splatter into the plastic. Just as I did earlier, I began rubbing large circles across his heaving back as he continued to get sick. He didn't have much in his stomach as this was the second time he's thrown up so the sick spell was over rather quickly.
I gently swipe the leftover sick from his lips and urge him to take a few sips of water before helping my ill boyfriend lay back down. I replace the cold washcloth on his feverish forehead then quickly run to the bathroom to empty the puke filled basin. I return the now clean bucket to the table then climb back under the covers with William again. He immediately curls into my chest, grabbing my hand to rub his stomach again.
I smile at the notion, knowing he usually wasn't so openly affectionate and begin tenderly massaging his stomach just as he non-verbally asked. I watched him relax just as he did earlier, getting a little more burpy as my hands were pushing the air out of his stomach. I reassured him it was okay and to just let it out when I saw how bashful he got, knowing he was very strict on his good manners.
William couldn't fall back asleep due to how upset his stomach still was so I decided to put on some random movie, knowing he liked the background noise. I stopped massaging his stomach for a moment to gently trace the cold rag across his sweat-soaked skin. Once I replace the washcloth on his forehead, I return to stroking the bubbles from his angry tummy. I feel my lips pulling upward when his eyes drift shut once again and I hear gentle snores leaving his throat.
There really wasn't much I could do to heal his mystery reaper sickness, but I was happy I was at least able to provide him with some sort of comfort.
