A/n: I love this movie and just started the book series so I decided to do this request. I hope you enjoy it, sorry if it's not whatcha were looking for. Oh, and I have no clue what their daily schedule looks like so Im making it up, bare with me lol.
(Y/n)'s POV:
Enoch wasn't one to admit when he was unwell, preferring to just soldier through it, and I had long given up trying to change this about him. So when he walked into the parlour pale as a sheet and eyes glazed over, I knew there wasn't much I'd be able to do unless he openly came to me for help.
I was positive everyone else had noticed Enoch's off state as they were all sharing worried glances when he wasn't paying attention. I kept a protective hand around his waist when we were standing and walking around, noticing how unsteady he was. Once we sat down for breakfast I reluctantly removed it so I could eat.
Enoch barely ate anything, instead just pushing it around his plate, which was the second sign he wasn't feeling good. He always had an unusually big appetite even if he was a "growing" teenage boy. Miss Peregrine and I shared a look, and she beckoned me out of the parlour so we could talk. She basically told me to keep an eye on him and if he got worse, to force him back to his room to rest.
I nodded in agreement before following the stoic woman back into the parlour. I immediately head to my seat next to my boyfriend upon entering, he looked worse if that was possible, I could tell his stomach wasn't feeling good based on how he was picking at his food, the smell had to be making him nauseous. Enoch hated being around people when he was sick, so as much as it sucked, I knew he would come to me if he started feeling bad enough.
That time came sooner than I expected. We got through breakfast, group time and part of free time before he finally pulled me off to the side. "Come on, let's get you to your room. I know you're not feeling well." I explain gently before leading him off towards his bedroom, he didn't even protest, fully letting me guide him up the stairs and down the hall. I gently set him down on his bed, letting him strip down as I run back down the hall to the bathroom.
I grab a cold wet washcloth, knowing from the glaze in his eyes that he definitely had a fever. When I walk back into his room rag in hand. Enoch was only clad in boxers and a thin undershirt, he had wrapped the thin wool blanket around his shivering body. I felt bad putting the cool material on his forehead, but I knew I needed to get his fever down. I also dragged the trash bin from the corner of his room to his bedside just in case.
Once I was sure he'd be comfortable, I carefully crawl over him and lay down on the inside of the bed. Enoch scoots over to nestle into my side, one arm wrapped tightly around his stomach and gently rests his head on my chest. I could hear his stomach gurgling audibly so I knew it was only a matter of time before he threw up. I drape a comforting around him gently instructing him to try and get some rest.
He managed to restlessly drift off for about 25 minutes before his stomach finally forced him to hang over the bin. I gently stroke Enoch's back as heaves up the meagre breakfast he ate into the plastic-lined trash can. When he was finished, I slide the trash bin away so he wouldn't have to see it, then slid back down beside the curled up boy. If he felt as bad as he looked, Enoch must have been absolutely miserable.
I begin gingerly threading my fingers through his sweat-soaked hair his eyes slid shut once again, I knew he wasn't asleep, but at least he was semi-comfortable. I replace the cold rag on his forehead and continue stroking his brown locks. I hear Enoch's breathing begin to even out after about 10 minutes and he finally drifted off again. I continue raking my hands through my sleeping boyfriends hair until I heard a firm knock on the door.
I carefully untangle myself from Enoch and quietly pad to the door, stepping out into the hallway before turning to face the guest. I came face to face with the blonde-haired female, "Hey Emma, what's up?" I question her.
"Enoch wasn't looking good earlier and then you guys disappeared so I decided to come check on you." She said softly.
"Oh that was sweet of you," I thank her "Yeah Enoch's not feeling too good he caught a stomach bug of some sort so I'm taking care of him," I explained. She just nodded, asking me to keep her updated before turning on her heavily weighted heel and headed back to rejoin the rest of the children. I step into the room and grab the sick filled trash bin, quickly running to the bathroom to empty it, before finally returning to my ill boyfriend.
I crawl over him again and lay back down, he instinctually curls back into me and I once again wrap my arm around him, pulling him gently into my side. I use my free hand that wasn't draped over Enoch to return to raking my fingers through his hair. I gently reposition the rag that had slid off his forehead while I was gone, then proceed with my previous actions.
He thankfully stayed asleep through the whole ordeal of me moving, and I hoped it stayed that way. Enoch always had trouble sleeping and it always got worse when he was sick so I was praying he'd manage to continue sleeping most of the way through the illness, or at least through most of the day.
A/n: Welp, I hope yall enjoyed, please please please leave me new requests I'm running low. Anyways sorry if it wasn't exactly what you were looking for, I hope you still liked it. BYEEE!!!
