Chapter 17

"Wake up." Kayla said. My eyes fluttered open as Kayla shook me.

"What?" I asked, finally getting up.

"Uhm. its like 11:00 you've been asleep since forever."

"Yea well we went to sleep late."

"And?" She said, walking out of the basement. "Can you wake him up?"

"Sure. Whatever." I said sleepily. I looked over at Nathan who was passed out, his hair was messily draped over his face. I leaned over and shook him the way that Kayla shook me.

"Nathan, wake up."

"Huh? Why..."

"Because Kayla wants us to wake up. Its late." I answered, getting up. I took his hand and attemepted to pull him up.

"Ow! Ok I'm up." He said, rubbing his shoulder. I smiled and got ready. Nathan had some clothes in his car, and Kayla let me borrow some of her clothes.

"Yum." I said. I sat down in her kitchen. "You made this?"

"No, my butler just left." She said, rolling her eyes. There were three plates of scrambled eggs and a lot of bacon. My favorite.

"Hah. Funny." I said, pointing my fork at her. Once again a bad idea, the egg of my fork decided to fly off into the air and land on her lap. "Oh my gosh!"

"You have no aim whatsoever and you have horrible timing. I hate you." She said as she got up. SHe picked up her fork and pointed it at me, immitating me.

"So sorry." I said inbetween laughs. She took a napkin and cleaned off her white top. Yep...really bad timing.

"Your lucky that I can't to the same to you because you chose my blue sweater." She threatened as she sat back down across from me.

"I smell bacon." Nathan said as he took the seat next to me. His plate was clean in a few minutes.

"Did you even taste your food." I asked, raising my eyebrows.

"That breakfast won't be the only thing being tasted." Kayla said, giving me the creepiest face in the world. My jaw dropped.

"KAYLA! What is wrong with you?!" I shook my head. Nathan was laughing with Kayla. He paused and coughed for a second on his orange juice.

"Thats what you get." I said, punching him in the shoulder. More like poking. He paused again and looked at me seriously before reaching over to take my bacon. "Hands off the pig."

"Hurry up Ali. Were both done and your still eating bacon." Kayla commented. I took the bacon from Nathan's hand and ate it.

"Aww." He said. He leaned back to his chair.

"What are we going to do now?" I asked.

"I want to see Vic." Kayla said taking our her phone. "Lets go to the park."

"Sure." Nathan said. I just nodded.

"And then there was two." I said to myself as Kayla and Vic walked off to somewhere. No there was one.

"Nathan?" I called out. Where did he go?

"Nathan? Stop joking around. Where are you..." I called. I spun around as two arms hugged me from behind.

"If you want me so bad you don't have to yell it to the park." He smirked. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Where did you go?" I said pulling away from the hug.

"Nowhere. I was right over there near that pond." He said as he took my hand in his. He led me to the water.

"Its a pond." I said.
