When you are all but surrounded by the dense jungle full of trees which symbolically represent the difficulties of hostel life which at that instant seem like huge mountains, with just complete darkness of shattered dreams, lost faith and broken heart and you happen to finally see some light symbolic of happiness penetrating through the canopy, how exactly do you feel? That's how she felt when Pakhi entered her life as not just her roommate but a best friend as well! But just like she had come as the harbinger of happiness and positivity in her life, she was snatched too from her! And why was it? It was yet again because of love that she lost one more person in her life. It was that wretched love that made the ever strong Pakhi so weak that she gave up on life due to being betrayed at love!

Her death was an even bigger jolt to deal with than the harsh realisation of the reality of her parent's relationship! She was traumatised completely! The room which they shared started haunting her, though she no longer occupied it. She felt extremely depressed and was immediately pushed under psychiatric care as she had attempted to slit her wrist even. Thankfully since she was sharing room with someone else, the girl managed to stop her!

3 months passed by and she seemed stable. So she was now free to completely lead her life normally for she seemed to be out of trauma. But none including herself were aware of the internal damage done!

She held her head in her hands tightly in an attempt to block those disturbing thoughts invading her system again and curled more into herself. That's when she found herself pulled into somebody's embrace! The touch so familiar, she was shocked at who it was!
She broke apart and looked at him with surprise writ over her face.

"You here?" she asked in utter disbelief! How the hell could he be here? Was she imagining stuff?

"Yes it's me darling" he said, addressing her just the way he had that night.

"H-how? How did you get here?" she asked not able to comprehend how he reached here and that too inside her room. They had last met in Paris. Apart from each other's names, there were no particulars exchanged. How did he find her then?

"That's not important darling. What's more important is you! Calm down now and catch up on some sleep. You'd be tired due to the long journey. I'm right here" he said, his voice as soothing and gentle as a mother's lullaby.

"I.." she started to say but was quietened the next instant as she felt herself locked in his embrace. Sighing, she hugged him back, finally feeling slightly peaceful. And just like that, she drifted off to deep sleep.

She woke up the next morning only to find him missing. This made her wonder if he had really come or it was just her imagination. Before she could ponder over it, the loud ringtone of her phone reverberated in the room. The caller happened to be Devyani, her best friend and hence, she immediately picked it up. The girls had their conversation and decided to meet up in the evening.

After the conversation with Devyani, she refreshed and slipped into a comfortable loose t-shirt and headed towards the kitchen to prepare herself a strong cup of coffee. While preparing coffee, thoughts of him yet again frequented her mind.

"Why the hell am I remembering him so much?" Sai yelled out in irritation.

"Because you lo... sorry like him" her heart whispered.

"Huh as if!" she scowled but then fell silent. Her heart silently smiled as it knew she was actually considering its revelation.

"Why are you silent now Sai? Thinking of him right? " the heart questioned knowingly.

"I-I" Sai dint know how to refuse that since she had indeed been thinking about him!

The heart softened it's tone and said

"Look Sai, the feelings that we feel aren't in our hands. Feelings aren't voluntary. They just happen. I know you don't believe in love and that love has been associated some of the worst things in your life. But you cannot deny that like every thing in life has two sides or versions to it, love too has it. You have seen just the negative aspects of love. Don't you want to give it's positive side a chance?"

A lone tear escaped her eyes even as she shut it tight.

"No! I cannot! I don't believe love even has a positive side. Love dosen't have any faces. Even if it's multifaceted, all its faces bring only pain and nothing else. And I don't want to talk about it anymore!" she shouted out aloud.

The heart sighed but kept quiet. It knew she wouldn't listen at all. It also knew that at this moment, she needed to be left alone. This debate could go on some other day.

She finished her errands and busied herself with work. She was on leave for a week but now that she was back, she began with her work. Of course, this was not just because she was dedicated to her work and a complete workholic but also because she wanted to bury these feelings and not give a thought on them.

**

The girls met up in the evening with all plans to set out on a shopping spree! Shopping was a really good stress buster for Sai and so while she was on it, she felt really relieved. Devyani moved towards the latest modern collection while Sai said she would come after trying out a few ethnic wear and headed towards the trial room. None of them were occupied as not many customers were visiting the shop.

She got into the last one and kept her pile of dresses on the stool there. But before she could go ahead and lock the door, she was literally pushed into the trial room and he entered. Her mouth dropped open seeing him there and she couldn't process anything. She felt literally like she was in some daze.

"Yo-you here? Again? How?"

"Shh! Haven't I told you before that all these questions can wait for later. Just try your clothes darling" he said, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Her eyes widened and she said

"First get out of the trial room! Shameless!" she said in an angry tone though her red cheeks indicated otherwise. He just laughed slightly and pulled her into a hug.
