She stood at the sea shore, watching the sun set, waves crashing at her feet, some drenching her till her knees, sending her feelings to her beloved.
He at some land far away stayed, maybe watching the same view of sunset and she knew with certainty, he would be doing just the same.
Tears fall down her eyes like precious pearls bestowing the earth, cleansing her soul, helping her to hold onto sanity, till the day she attains death.
While he must be wishing the same, they as a whole wish to hold on, depart when everything's done, hoping to meet in the heavenly realm and complete and make up for all that went unsaid.
As darkness spread, azure shades filled the sky and stars shone upon them bright. They looked on, that wish throbbing in both their chests, if only they weren't just star crossed lovers but were born with togetherness written in their fates! She smiled at the jeweled sky and left to occupy her usual spot. Curling her knees she let her head rest on them, sighing remembering what she always did - that one last moment they shared, that one night they as each other's stayed, before parting ways!
"I'll walk away from you, my beloved of storms
You who has wrecked my life in its wake
I'll walk away wordlessly to some place obscure
Just give me this night and a few moments to hold onto" he had said. She had looked on, staring into his eyes without her mask on till she nodded and pulled him in. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she had tiptoed onto his feet and rested her head against his chest. He had held her tight, their eyes closed, solace gushing through both of them. Both had let out a breath feeling light, the load of pain slightly wearing off their hearts and heads. They had swayed slowly to the rhythm of their own love, wrapped in the warmth of each other's embrace. It was after eons that their parched hearts had found each other's love, the ice in hers melting away.
Stabbed was what she had been since that moment when she had to take that decision. When she had to place a promise made to someone, above him. It had felt like she was slipping away when she had broken off, painting a story that she loved another. It had broken her when she looked into that hollowness in his eyes, that lost spark which had always been something that made her world bright. But she had to abide by that promise, that was what was right. But whom was she kidding when she had thought he would believe her lie. He - who loved her more than his own life. He hadn't believed her, pursued her instead to confess she wasn't speaking the truth. But she hadn't given in, hurting both pursuing this lie. She had pushed him, not given in at any time. Before she could even realise, she had broken him with her ignorance and fake hatred, shattering him from within, so much that he could never come back, the way he was before.
It had been too late when she had realised - she had set fire to their world for somebody who dint even care whether she lived or died.
She had held onto the notion of being right forgetting he wasn't somebody who would just give up on them like that. How could she ever think, he'd be able to forget her? Why couldn't she remember, he had no one apart from her? That night had been spent, collecting herself in his arms, trying to provide some balm, to his wounds which she had herself caused. It had been spent to grieve, those promises made to him, which she hadn't abided by. To hold him together, make him feel alive for that one last time. It had been spent in regrets and a promise to herself, she wouldn't ever forgive herself for doing that to him and shall try to put him back till all that is left behind in this abode of hers, are his footsteps! And for that one last time, she had held him the closest to her for an entire moment, then had kissed him goodbye.
She curled in more and closed her eyes, finding him standing there with a smile. His arms open, he glowed in her world of imaginations. A smile formed on her forlorn face as she saw herself run into his arms. He lifted her in his arms and together they headed to their destination.
This was the dream she saw each day. A day when their story shall be completed. She prayed to the stars that write her fate, maybe they could gain the end they deserved in some other lifetime!
She lingered for a few moments more after which her footsteps made way, retracing the earlier ones which partially existed, the rest wiped out by water and sand.
"Oh the tranquillity to my soul,
My anchor to happiness you were
I know it was me who lost out on you
And now I'm left with just regrets
You must be in a place obscure
Still loving me with your void
Still loving me endlessly, with broken pieces of our world which I destroyed.
I'd just say this to you today,
Thank you for still being there""I can write the saddest poem of all tonight.
Write, for instance: "The night is full of stars,
and the stars, blue, shiver in the distance."
The night wind whirls in the sky and sings.
I can write the saddest poem of all tonight.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too."He retreated back to his abode, holding her memories within his soul. Apart they were yet he knew, she'd have done the same too.
It was just one step and they'd maybe come together again. But what about what lay between them? Was just true love enough to complete their story when togetherness wasn't written in their destiny?
Some stories are meant to be different. Some stories are meant to have no end. And theirs is one such!
"Seated across is a silent affair looking into my eyes; blurring the loud scenery.
An incapable dream, an unimagined union-I whisper.
Then you close your eyes and your soul yells my name.
I cradle your peace back-with a sigh and kiss your thought away.Because we are an incomplete pair of Romeo and Juliet left alive by the Montagues and the Capulets; killed by the distance of the sun and the moon."
As observed, this has no connection to the show.
