It was Valentine's Day.

The worst day of the year - in Elladora's opinion.

A day of romance, where no matter where you looked, a couple would be sucking each other's faces off - or just sucking each other off.

And Elladora hated it.

She always had. Even when she was little, she thought it was just an excuse for restaurants and flower shops to make more money - for literally no reason. All in all, Elladora thought it was pathetic.

Maybe over the years, it may have festered into jealousy of not having a date - but, initially her hate had been for the right reasons.

And not only was it Valentine's Day, but it was a Hogsmeade Weekend. And whilst all of the seventh years were allowed in Hogsmeade whenever they wanted, it just meant that all of the younger years would be there too.

But, in a way, that was a plus for Elladora - seeing as she was not planning on going to Hogsmeade anyway, so the castle would be practically empty.

She was sat in the Great Hall for breakfast stabbing her strawberry grumpily.

Why?

The whole Hall was fucking pink.

And it made Elladora sick.

Not to mention that Evan and Regulus had actually blossomed into a full on couple about three weeks prior, which meant that they were more loved up than usual.

"Come on, Reg, just have one bite!" Evan pouted as he placed a strawberry in front of Regulus's mouth.

Regulus rolled his eyes and laughed, taking a bite of the strawberry.

And with that, Elladora pushed her plate of strawberries away with a groan.

"What's the matter with you?" Evan asked with a smirk.

Regulus groaned, "You know she hates Valentine's Day."

"It's a fucking scam and a gross day." Elladora claimed with a roll of her eyes.

"I'll never understand why you hate it so much." Evan said with a laugh.

"Don't get her started, Ev, I had to listen to it alone last year-"

"It's just a day where people think it's socially acceptable to shag in public and make people uncomfortable. What's the point?"

Evan and Regulus laughed at her explanation.

"The point is so that it's social acceptable to shag in public." Regulus retorted.

"I fucking hate you."

"You love me." Regulus said back.
