JULIE'S POV
My eyes slowly open, my body feels stiff and my chest is in some pain. I look to the seat next to me and see my husband staring back at me.
"Did it work?" I mutter as I'm still waking up. Luke has a sorrowful look on his face, tears gathering in his eyes. "Hun what happened?" I grab his hand as I start to get terrified, the worse case senerios running around.
"Julie I am so sorry" He says as I examine his face further, its tear stained and puffy. Something happened. My mind immediately jumps to the kids, are they ok? Whats going on here?
"Wh-What happened? Are the kids ok?" I say as I struggle to sit up. I manage but I still struggle. Luke squeezes my hand as his voice starts to quiver and crack.
His breathing is uneven, something big happened. Wait...
"It didn't work, did it?" I say as I start to feel my waterline filling up. Luke shakes his head lightly.
"It didn't. I am so sorry Jules" Luke says, his words merging together as I can tell he's holding back his emotions.
I know Luke belives he needs to be strong but this affects the both of us. I mean yeah I'm the one whos sick but in the chance I leave, he will be broken. I mean I can't imagine loosing the love of your life for good.
"I'll um, I'll go get the doctor to explain whats going on" He says getting out of his chair, walking out of the room and leaving me with my thoughts.
*TWO DAYS LATER*
REGGIE'S POV
"How is Kelilah?" I say as I bounce into the spare room of the Patterson house. Flynn needs to work but we have been watching the kids. We are spending time with Julie and Luke.
Flynn turns to face me and gives me a confused glare. "Kelilah? What the hell is Kelilah?" She chuckles, closing a case file shes working on.
"Well because we don't know if we are having a boy or a girl. I merged the names we picked out. Hence Kelilah" I chuckle.
She gives me a pursed smile. "Ok fair, that's kinda cute. Besides, it will only last a couple weeks. But I really need to work. Come here" She waves her hands.
I make my way over and kiss her forehead. "Have fun" I say as I close the door behind me.
As I'm heading into the kitchen I feel my phone buzzing in my pocket. "Yellow?" I answer the phone after I see Alex's name pop up.
Lately Alex has been busy, like really busy. After Julie's surgery didn't go well we have been together for the most part, all of us but Alex. I mean am I a little ticked off, yeah but he must have his reasons right?
"I need your advice" Normally I would be more concerned at the fact that Alex needs MY advice but the tone in his voice tells me not to be.
"Can you come here? Julie and Luke are about to leave. Flynn is working and the kids need to be supervised." I say as I grab a glass of water.
"Already here" He says as I hear the door unlocking.
